Absolutely. Can't wait for my first trip to Southwick, all the better for this twist.

although the wick isn't what we in europe call a really sandy track, i hope MdR does good there, he does what a lot of riders aren' up for: racing on the otherside of the atlantic.

he will be racing a bike that he doesn't know in and out so he starts of with a small disadvantage but i hope he can pull through!

Exactly! It most definitely adds to the race. I wish more Europeans would come over.

Be serious guys...

Half your own riders either don't want to race outdoors at all, or cruise around for a safe top 10 finish for a large pay cheque.

Here you have a guy who is prepared to

1) travel half way around the world to race a round of your national series
2) race a bike he's not used to
3) go for a podium finish
4) take the time to post on this forum

All you can do is give him shit because he was misquoted.

In fairness there are a few well considered posts here - but the vast majority of you sound like you spent way too long saluting the flag and singing the anthem during your formative years. Judge the guy for what he is not where he is from (or not from).

Good luck Marc

Calimero, best of luck to you. Thanks for coming over here and putting your neck out on the line for nothing but bragging rights. I wish we had more guys over here with your kind of heart.

It won't be long until the Euros are dominating motocross again, which is maybe what American riders need to start racing outdoors again.

Good luck Marc!

Well said! I'm past the "us vs. them"...I just want to watch racers race. If Marc can make the Southwick Nationals better I will support him 100%.

Heck...I can beat any four year old American or Euro in the sand! I am actually pretty darn good in sand; I grew up riding in very deep sand and every week that is where I rode -- butt back, gas steadily on and keep momentum up.

I agree with that, but not the kissing ass part. We need to have the top guys racing outdoors if America wants to be known as the best when it comes to MX. Some people may have earned thier right to race SX only, but I still respect the guys who want to race outdoors because it's another race and another chance to win. Marc wants to race Southwick to show us what he's got and I think that's awesome. Hope he stirs it up a little.

It is in Southwick, Mass.

However, alot people stay in Springfield Mass., it is about a 15-20 minute drive to the track.

Check out their website below if you need more info.

Oh yeah, I forgot this is the internet and to show respect is something only to be done face to face when you have to actually be responsible for what you say. Are tou a douchebag in person too?

Eddy, you sure changed your tune when Marc called you out. Jus sayin...

I would still tell you to your face -that your post sounded kiss ass and prolly even get you a little more worked up in person, maybe even make some little smooching noises. SERIOUS

As for your douchebag comment - i highly doubt you would say that face to face to anyone off here.I know i wouldnt.

As for changing my tune - All i did was direct him to the source of the quote and changed it.

If you look at the first post - i said we were in for a treat seeing him race the wick.

You make NO valid points...so move along son.
