Matt you never dissapoint man! Awesome vids. Everybody looks so good and so fast that its hard to say who looks better. I have to say though,, Cooper Webb looks just as fast and smooth as anybody out there. You would never know he is a rookie.
Man, I have been holding this back, but Cunningham is fast as hell but he reminds me of the goon videos we used to make. Only if they were in fast forward, lol.
DC, THIS is what camera angles should be used on the broadcasting of the nationals, they give a good indication of the speed these guys take the corners on.
I've never understood why they pick incredibly boring angles and positions for the broadcast, you cant help but feel that a generic MX broadcast would be a snoozer for a non-rider. But when you show a snippet of their real speed, this is what you get, and it's awesome! great job Woz.

This is so true. The far away camera angles used at most nationals (and supercross don't capture the close up stuff at all. The ruts, roost, sound, ect is the essence of moto!!
I disagree. It's fine for a riding vid as above, but in a race you need longer shots in order to understand what it is happening in context of the race.
Good vids and well put together. Though I have to say I'm not a fan of these practice tracks that all look like the same old thing.
Does anyone else think that Jeremy Martin's Yam sounds a little sick ... or off ... from behind?? Just sounds different from all the other bikes in the two videos.

I don't usually jump on people for stuff like this but really? Should we tell DC the hot dogs from the concession stand don't taste good enough either? I seriously doubt DC has any input whatsoever on the placement of cameras. The network I'm sure is looking for maximum track coverage with minimal cameras, so that means the angles won't be ideal. I'm sure when we bring in F1 or MotoGP TV numbers we can start being picky about angles with increased cameras and production staff.

Well, DC is the president of the MX sports committee, and presents himself on here as such. So why shouldn't he be an outlet for suggestions?
" I'm sure when we bring in F1 or MotoGP TV numbers we can start being picky about angles with increased cameras and production staff"
Now that's kind of a chicken or the egg thing there isn't it, coverage that portrays slow racing won't bring in outside numbers, yet we can't manipulate camera angles similar the OP's videos without having to pull in more outside numbers first"..doh!
Lets just pretend i began with "NBC, ..." feel better?

Thanks for the kind words. I'll be doing behind the scenes/rider feature videos for Alli Sports all summer long but as far as the broadcasting of each national round, I wish I could get more involved but I believe they did a good job last year (after only watching 1-2 shows in its entirety since I was at all of them anyway).
I did have one clip of mine (Stewart's tumble at Colorado) make it onto the broadcast. I didn't have to worry about signage at Comp Edge so all my focus was on the rider in those videos. But yes, anything to show the speed and just pure skill of these riders is always my focus. As a former racer turned very recreational rider, I'm dumbfounded of how fast these guys go for 30+2 twice a day. Simply amazing. Thanks for watching everyone!
Barcia looks so fast and stylish .
and in that video it looked like BB4 Was a bit faster than the other 250's
/sarcasm Great videos Matt! I can't wait for outdoors!! It has the best line-up in years!

great to see Durham and Baggett back.
Noren was impressive, but I got Barcia for the w after seeing that vid, DAMN!
450 class is more stacked outdoors than supercross! With Wilson and Rattray in there.
noren looked like he was on rails..
That was rad
Has Comp Edge ever come up in conversation regarding having a national there?
Pit Row
noren, rattray and barcia looked quick. noren dropping into those rutted corners was just perfection.

Once they get a live feed sorted out for go pros, they should chuck a few down real close to the track

It will add up......
