Is it just one round and that's it or is he going to run the whole series?

From what it soulds like he's just doing round 1, and Ben Lamay is riding the bike for the remaining rounds.

I'm with you on that. Haven't been on here that much lately so I didn't know if it had already been talked about.

What? How long has been away? I just picture him winning that 125 title 2002, then went downhill after that only to retire a few years later or so. Sorry my ignorance...

I'm a big fan of Travis Preston.

I hope he comes out and shocks the world, gives a vintage Prestonesque inflammatory interview, drops the mic, and fades away without giving anyone an explanation about why he doesn't continue with pro mx.

So. Epic.

TP has been doing testing for JGR, so he has enough bike-hours to race, IMO.
Probably about 2-hours into the archive, but here is him explaining about it.

Perhaps he will be riding the 2014 YZ 450F frame... You know, just to test it in race conditions Wink Apparently he has been doing some testing for Yamaha as well.

I was hoping all the Yamaha satellite teams would have had their '14 scoots before HT.

Yes about Preston, no about Lamay. Ben will be in a factory bike under the Rock River Yamaha tent still with his same sponsors as SX.

Seriously? Dean Wilson? That's pretty damn impressive if so. Hope he gets a couple good starts at Hangtown and kills it.

If a guy had no major injuries during his career and after retirement didnt go on a drinking/drug/ eating binge and kept riding a bit and training a bit, i see no reason you cant be VERY competitive well into your thirties. Motocross is afterall an endurance sport.

Find a bookie that will take that bet. Put a $100 on it, and if it comes through, you will be able to retire.

Im pretty excited to see what Prestons race craft looks like.

If he takes next level lines and turns up the heat at the end of the motos I will be very impressed.

There is nothing like taking a bit of time off to get a person thinking more creatively..

Good luck TP
