Team two two and Yamaha

Edited Date/Time 4/26/2013 10:11am
Ok, I know a little while ago it was all rumours about Team Two Two going to Yamaha but here's my theory.

Last weekend there was the MotoGP in the states where there were a few pictures of Chad Reed on Rossi's Yamaha. Now, I know that doesn't say anything but remember why in early 1997 McGrath had to leave Honda? The main reason was because he had been seen on a Kawasaki jetski and therefor Honda and McGrath got in a fight and split up. Ben Lamay has just signed a factory Yamaha deal but it is not know for which team this deal is. One thing is for sure and that is that it's not for JGR, so what team are they talking about?! Also it's a known fact that Reed isn't completely happy with the 2013 Honda and after what happened with Kawasaki and Reed we al know what that might lead to!

This might all be very far fetched but you never know what might happen, it was only a year ago when Stewart al of a sudden went to Suzuki halve way through the season for Outdoors.

If this is Reeds last year(which i doubt) and Yamaha put up some big dollars(which i don't think is the problem with Yamaha) and the new bike for 2014 i can see two two racing Yamaha.

From what little I've gathered listening to people who know more than me, Yamaha wants to pair with Chad Reed. Chad Reed wants an OEM that will give him factory bikes for himself and a second rider. Honda would not offer that and Reed was openly frustrated with it in pre-season and after Dean Wilson got released from his JW Racing deal. I think the writing is on the wall for the two.

I heard Albertson was going to be his teammate. I have photographic proof.

1. Reed is not a factory Honda rider, just factory supported.
2. Yamaha doesn't have factory Mx bikes.

Rossi's bike and that picture are unrelated to what bike CR will ride. He is friends with Vale and there are tons of pics of other guys on that bike like Albertson, Johnny Louch etc.
Lamay is receiving factory parts, just like he did last summer. Kiniry also receives this deal, same as Peick did last year among others. Yamaha just helps their top riders since they don't have a team themselves. It has zero to do with him signing with any team such as JGR or Two Two etc. Whether CR rides a Honda or a Yamaha next year, it won't be relevant to Lamay or a picture of him on a MotoGP bike, they have nothing to do with the other.

Yes, and I noticed that his bike had blue, yes blue, radiator hoses. Combine that with the fact Ben Lemay is getting stepped up support from Yamaha and I think we have convincing proof TwoTwo will be running Yamaha's next year.

Dont count out Suzuki either, I dont know if Two Two's relationship with Honda is as bad as some speculate personally...but who knows, I guess we will all find out in 4-5 months time, it is way to early to speculate at this point in time if you ask me.

I just don't see Chad staying long term in this sport when he's done racing. My guess(and that's all it is) is that he'll take his money and support to V8 or some other type of car racing.

I don't care who he rides for so long as he is riding.

The one thing I do find interesting is the amount of times lately the he has been seen (photographed) on another manufacturers bike. Also posting a couple of pics of his family on a different manufacturer.

As a business owner myself, I know I would be disappointed in seeing a person I supported being captured alot with another brand and openly allowing it.

If he is to change which once again I really don't mind. I like him, not what he is riding. But for him as team owner this is an area of opportunity that could be better developed. If he is thinking long term team owner.

I am sure there is still plenty of fight left in the old dog yet. In his 30's and people calling him old. He would smoke me anyday of the week.

I don't think hes getting enough support from Honda for him to actually have any loyalty from them..if they were backing his program to the extent that he wanted them to back him..im sure he'd ease up on the blatant paparazzi stuff

Of course it's no coincidence that Chad was on Rossi's GP bike on the 22 of April...........

Yamaha is obvioulsy in need of some good presense out on the track....There are a few 250 guys coming up thru the ranks on Yamaha, but something tells me after one or two years in the 250's, come 450 time they will be on different brands... If Yamaha is looking to produce a "Factory" team, then Two Two obviously would not be "the factory team"......If Two Two goes blue, then I would guess they could become the factory support team for Yamaha...like RCH is with Suzuki..they get factory bikes and still have their own gig..I am sure that is what Chad wants.....

If Two Two goes blue, I wonder if Lars sticks around or stays with the Honda boys
