I would try to create a function that shows the posts you have read or commented in already. Otherwise I am home here. I am on here 100 times a day, just ask the rest of the family. Oh and most importantly I can't find my key to that one place anymore.

- Create "Rider X" threads where people could ask an anonymous pro questions that are filtered by a mod.
- Create a rep/neg system where people who post crap all the time could be limited in what they post in the future, and once people hit a certain "rep" level that get special privileges of some sort.
- Let people vote for a mod each month.
- Start charging people to post every month.........ahhhhh who am I kidding that idea is idiotic!

We’d like the activity to be more like Bourbon Street at 2:00AM, not downtown Baghdad at 2:00AM. This stuff should be fun for everyone, not painful.

I would remove the Baghdad reference from this part of the rules. I'm thankful I do not know first-hand, but I'd be willing to bet any bad thread/statement on here pales in comparison! No offense, of course...

I would make the forum more like Reddit.

For those unfamiliar, Reddit works with a Upvote/Downvote system.

The posts that receive upvotes from users rise to the top, the posts that are downvoted get buried at the bottom.

If someone said something stupid here, he would realize it in the form of downvotes. The beauty of this system is that it's democratic. If shit is posted, the poster and everyone else knows that it is shit. In a sense, a forum set up like this evolves. The only function of a Mod in this system is to ban users, a lot of subjectivity is removed from the process.

Don't you hate having to search through pages and pages of shit for the one informative or interesting post? All of the good stuff would be at the top. The useless, low-effort inflammatory stuff would be at the bottom of the thread.

Start a game where I hide a specific word or sign somewhere deep in page 1 or 2 of the main forum threads, when someone finds it they earn a point, at the end of the week or month the highest points gets a Tshirt or a ticket to a race or something from a sponsor. This will keep more people on Vital longer searching (better numbers for you guys for advertising revenue) and force people to read what I am saying more often since it is supposed to have value. It also might gameify the site a bit for the kids... Tongue Your welcome. Ill be here all week, try the veal.
