Have you ever ridden right after hitting your head that hard? I've seen people flat land triples because they weren't all there after being knocked out.

I knew there were some really dumb people in the moto world but it's just hit a new low, including racerx for making claims like that....
People trying to cover shit up now because they realize how bad they fucked up by letting him continue? This place is hilarious.
You take one slippery track and put an overeager teenager out on it, is a recipe for carnage.
The kid, and then the team also decided that it was ok for him to race.
You can say what you want but Bodnar wouldn't send a kid out that he's examined and seemed unsafe/unfit to be on the track. After that the team wouldn't have risked the kids life and their reputation if the kid was not ok to race.
Caleb Moore was checked out by a professional crew just like the Asterisks Medical crew, deemed unsafe, and sent to the hospital. If Bell was in the situation Moore was Bodnar would've sent him to the hospital. Comparing the two situations is a bit classless to me.
It's great to play doctor after getting your degree from watching television shows like 90210, but let the real professionals decide if these guys are OK to race.
I agree, a concussion can make you make mistakes and mental errors. However with Zach's prior races we have seen and his "go for broke" style. I'm not convinced that was the cause of his main event crash. A lot of hot shots coming into SX crash their brains out the first race. You got to remember he is only 18.
THe effects of the night, the crash, the bright lights........ it could have all compounded into making him mess up in the main.
I am just VERY confident the signs of a concussion were not there in order for him to line up with my personal dealings with Doc and the crew. They treat the riders like family and will not turn a blind eye.
How in the hell would ANY of you know he got a concussion? Sure....he was laying still.....but that doesn't prove anything. Kid just fell off a 3rd story building......I'm sure other body parts were hurting.
The med crew would not of allowed hi to race if they thought he had been concussed.
Christ........now were second guessing what the MED CREW does..........the actual medical personal dealing with the rider?
Give me a fuckin' break!
Are you board certified in Emergency Medicine?
Good post Slow
that helmet has proven itself. I don;t need to see data. I've seen actual tests
photoshop? cover up?
Its not like he had prepped his entire life to make this main or anything (sarcasm)
(P.S Bobby your dumb ass post got deleted haha e.a.d)

It makes me laugh my fucking ass off that people "Watching from home on their TV".......THINK they know more then the fucking medical personnel.
I'm not making any medical calls, it just looked like lights out when his noggin went straight for that soft loam they were talking about night.
Pressure or not. What would have been if there was something they missed, say over a larger jump. His safety and the safety of others. Just looked contrary to the AMA and language they use.
Anyone can make assumptions watching TV. I even questioned myself while watching on why Bell was back out there but I knew the Asterisk crew would have thrown down the hammer if he wasn't healthy to race. They have done it before. He did look knocked out on TV and that was the assumption everyone had I'm sure at that time. I'm not Zach so to say he was knocked out just by me watching on TV doesn't prove anything really. I don't have a direct feed of his brain activity btw. Zach just got real lucky with that wreck.
Now we know he wasn't knocked out. If you think its a conspiracy/cover up, you're looking way too far into the situation.
I would like to add that I've been knocked out cold at least one too many times and it ain't no fun down the road.
I watched it. A few times. My heart sank and I thought we just saw the worst crash in SX history and my kids were right next to me. I thought they just witnessed something horrible. Maybe because of the whole Caleb Moore thing I may have been jumpy.
But, when he lined up for the LCQ, I had the confidence that he was indeed ok and it wasn't nearly as bad as it looked because I know the Medical crew there, maybe even more than others because I spent a lot of time getting picked up by them.
I knew the the neccessary tests were performed and knew had he had the symptoms of a concussion, he would not have been allowed to race. I also believe his main event crash was almost equal to his heat race crash in the "head hitting" department and think if he was concussed the first time, no way he is getting up from the second.
AGAIN, I think we can all agree we just want what is safe for the riders. So that is good. Our differences lie in how he was treated after the crash and I argue with those that question Bodnar and his crew.
Ya'all bad bois git back on that there dirt bike of yos and twis that there thradole, kay bob??
He would be asking where he is at and what happened and on his way to the hospital. Two media outlets quote him as saying he is ok, the medical crew cleared him and we are arguing here?
You guys think he is with a bunch of other 17year olds out in the hills riding?
One big conspiracy by the whole industry because a couple experts see it on TV as being different. wow.,
Post a reply to: Should Bell have been allowed to race?
