You fucking idiot, PED's as you call them have no benefit to motocross, some athletes rehab maybe but that is a different topic all together. When it comes down to winning a SX race PEDS are not involved. Get a fricken life man, you have NO idea what you are talking about.
you sir are a joke. you truely have no idea in the least what you are talking about. maybe if you opened up your mind to other people opinions and experiences.. you might not sound and come across like a total uneducated douche.

again, IMO

There is one guy I think we are all wondering how all of a sudden he becomes the best top guy................

Its not just peds though, Im also wondering about traction control. The start is most important and these guys are always talking about tire spin.

id says theres definitely some guys cheating with peds and traction control.

And then what about this recent fuel thing?

Found a funny little fact out recently. Team USA is exempt from drugs testing at the MXDN.
May mean nothing at all but why would you hide if there was nothing to hide?

"What would nudge a minor toward using peds? If they new for "certain" that a pro was using (as evidenced by a positive test result) would they say "So and so did it and so will I! I KNOW he uses because he was tested and failed! They must work!" If there was no test, there would be no proof, and little Johnny would never know what a top pro might be up to. "

You don't think that has happened yet? Amatuer riders use and have access to the same trainers the pros do.

I know of one big name mini rider who wasn't growing fast enough to move up and be competitive so his parents hired one of the big trainers and he put him on PEDs. 15 and on PEDs, can you see the problem now? i knwo PEDs exist in this sport, I've been told to my face, and I'm ok with it. A rider who is grown and has the ability to go fast but lacks strength does it, no ok, hell I did, but kids, nope.
That's a parenting problem not a PED problem.

I guess in this "diffusion of responsibility" generation we are living in today it makes sense to blame the drugs not the shit head parents that are pushing this on the kid.

If you're leaving parenting up to professional athletes I immediately assume you're a weak parent.

In my opinion this is the issue: Not every pro wants to put "non-natural" substances in their bodies and risk health complications later. Therefore, guys that are willing to take the risk woud be considered "unfair" competetion. In order to keep the competition equal, you would have to make it all natural.

Again, it woud be great l love it someone reading this forum (who knows their stuff about PED's) could quickly list the names of the new and common PED's (the ones they believe might be getting used by pros), what the purpose of the substance is, and how much of a performace increase they typically provide (based of real testing results - if possible).

Anyone out there qualified to write a list?

Let's air this out a bit!

any educated adult would be stupid to put a list like that on a open forum where young kids and amateurs come to read up on what the pro's are doing to train. thats just asking and basically telling them what to take and what kind of advantages it carries. not a good idea. IMO

if you really wanna educate yourself on the subject, there are ALOT of informative websites and articles you can read threw and find every 'PED' known to modern science and how they can benifit and or hurt someone as an athlete. also, how it can benifit in the intense and high heart rate world of motorcycle racing.
Dehner47: Very Good Point. Although educated, I don't have kids, so that thought slipped my mind.

It's always a good idea to keep kids in the dark about what could hurt them.

These guys are risking their bodies and their lives every time they line up. Why should anyone care if someone uses some hgh to help recover or some cyp in the off season?

hahaha one good butt cheek squeeze from her is all it would take my friend..

I will be honest here. Sure ill get some shit for it but oh well. I have past experience as an amateur racer with steriods and PEDs. Also, have first hand knowlegde of 'helping' and being "helped' by a few pro riders (quad riders and local pro dirtbike riders) back many years ago to help with recovery time after surgery or broken bone and torn muscle type injuries. And believe when I tell you, PEDS can will and do help. Only a few types will benifit the world of MX racing. Do I condone anyone under age of 25 doing them, knowing what I know now personally, ABSOLUTLEY NOT!! Steriods and PEDs are not designed for anyone while their body is still maturing and growing the natural way. Its only asking for later body damage. Ive had few surgeries to fix issues to hips, shoulder, wrist, cause by steriod use to help speed up recovery time. So basically fixing the issue that the steriods and PEDs masked.

Why admit to 'cheating" or being a 'juice head".. Cause Im just some dude from NJ who raced Amateur Nationals and local pro quads, and if guys like me and plenty of other guys and girls, yes girls too, are willing to sacrfice their bodies to acheive a goal.. What makes you so naive to think guys at the professional level and that are making millions of dollars, are not try to get every "advantage" they can get on and off the track... Remember.. YOUR BODY IS A MACHINE TOO!!

Knowing absolutely nothing about peds, hgh or, any other high tech modern dope, I once mentioned to Chad Watts that some people were insinuating that RC was using. " I'll slap the piss out of anybody that says that to me." was his response. He mentioned Doug Henry taking an IV between motos for dehydration at several nationals as the closest thing he knew about. He firmly stated that RC never did any of that. I believe him. I believe the top guys are just working harder much like Hannah did in his time. Call me gullible if you like.
On the flip side, an old competitor and still dear friend of mine, would definately be faster when he smoked dope. Maybe he relaxed more? I don't know. He was faster than me not smoking but faster yet when he did. I never had a problem with it as he wasn't dangerous on the track. I'll say this though, nothing good came out of his 'recreational' activities. One thing led to the next and it got real ugly for a long time.

I think it's plausible that RC taught Dungey how to use EPO which he obviously learned from Aldon who is now pumping that stuff into RV. I'd also guess that Stewart freaked out when Aldon suggested EPO and split. Again it's just a guess but when you have an ex pro cyclist from the 90s as a trainer and you're telling me there is no EPO use in a sport that doesn't test for it it's hard not to question. I hope these riders are clean but I doubt it, there's too much money on the line and not much of it to go around in this sport. Just my opinion.

improve the bodies ability to remove chemical bi product. ( decrease arm pump). This is why they are called performance enhancing drugs. Can they give a rider skill and co-ordination, no they can't. However if you had 8 capable winners and 2 took PED's do you think they would improve their performance or chance to win.
They will increase arm pump genious. And Hgh increases cts, not all that desirable for moto

The only documented advantage of so called "PEDS" is to enhance recovery and build muscle mass. This is beneficial in football, gymnastics, hockey, wrestling and weight lifting. My point is, other then injury recovery, PEDS do not benefit active (non injured) SX riders. The counter argument made by some of you is that PEDS make everyone better no matter what they are doing, as if PEDS are the same as Underdogs little magic pill. The remaining generic response is endurance, my factual point that the fastest one lap riders are also the fastest 20 lap riders illustrates endurance is not part of the argument either. Sorry if that went over some of your heads. Coming through the amateur ranks, all of the top riders rode multiple classes, endurance was earned, unless you think they used PEDS back then.
I apologize for the name calling, had a few too many cocktails, but I disagree with accusations made without any factual basis.

Yeah you may want to edit that post. Arm pump would be decreased with more efficient blood carrying more oxygen to the muscles it would take less blood to enter the muscle fascia of the fore arms. Less blood= less pressure.

PED use is much more beneficial for athletes in endurance sports like SX and MX than strength sports. Countless studies have been done on this. Try google.
