I def picked him to win some races but didn't think he would get one by the second round! Pretty impressive, although it is a super long season and I feel as if everyone is just now getting in the groove, the first couple rounds are always a huge mix up for some reason...like Grant's A1 win as well as a few other surprise finishes. The next three should really show who will be there for the long haul towards that title. At this point I can't tell who will end up with it too many have a legit shot! Including Barcia

Barcia will win a few more, if Tomac was in the 450 class, Barcia and everyone else would win alot less....That kid is the next big thing IMO

Ya never know!

We have no idea who will still be in the championship hunt or even still racing week to week.

I think JB is here to stay for sure. He's young , healthy and fast as hell......it's a good combo to have in this line of work.

Not to get too analytical (even tho this is vitalmx.com and that's the norm here) but I remember when he broke his nose a while back, and his face was all busted looking. In an interview he said something to the affect of "luckily I don't get paid to look good, I get paid to ride my dirtbike fast." Just goes to show the type of attitude JB has. Just win and ride fast, pretty simple!

I liked him when he turned pro, then I sorta fell of the bandwagon mid-way thru his 250 career, but as soon as he hopped on a 450 for the first time, I was a big fan again and I've only rooted for him more the past months!

all i want to see is someone Laughing battle with Barcia, and have him punt someone in the big boy class! Laughing BAM BAM

I definitely believe Barcia can win the title in his rookie year as long as he has consistent top 3 finishes. RV is still the man to beat and I would love to see Barcia and RV pull a 1...2 hole shot. Reed gets faster as the season progresses. Dungey and Canard can run Barcia's pace. Stewart has run two smart races and saved enough points to kick it in gear and pull out the championship too. I also don't believe Windham is going to settle on 10th place finishes.

He will take the points lead from Millsaps but Villopoto will take over by halfway. Also Jlaw will return before the supercross season is over.

Barcias starts will keep him up front. In my eyes I think he is the toughest to beat. His starts keep him up front every race while villo, stew, reed, and dungey are all floppin around mid pack. Barcia is fast enough to pull too big of a lead for those guys to make up.
so true right now

I want to say yes, but I think Trey will learn from last weekend and raise the bar and take the win at A2. Or I hope that's what he does,

I don't think he will really 'make the field shit the bed.... from here on out' as proposed by the OP, but its plain to see he has what it takes.

Despite his crashes he was superb at Lommel, out rode Dungey and many Europeans with decent sand riding skills, he's won the Monster Energy Cup and has so far, including heat races, won three out of four races in the 450 SX class.

Im really pleased to see Canard back to his best and would certainly like to see him win a few races too, but more than anything I just hope he can stay injury free this season.

I totally agree. His ride at Lommel really impressed me because he adapted in very little time and under very difficult circumstances. I was pleased to see Justin win last week. Also Trey too... tbh I thought he'd (Canard) ease into it over a few weeks and that it'd take a while for him to get anywhere near winning. But again he's just been so impressive.

The sport definitely benefits with all these new guys entering the fray. Just excellent racing.

Is it jus' me or are the Red-Brigade and the Hannah II fans forgetting that there are more guys heading for The Box than we've seen in 20+ years?

Go look, again...Justin's got company and that's EXACTLY what's making this an unbelievable season.

F-Y-I:

1. The Rockstar Suzuki, running the # "18", is leading the series. I'll bet ya didn't see that one coming!

2. James HAS NOT fallen down; yet, he's not running up front...yet. Yes, I know...the knee...we'll see.

3. Trey Canard = Mr. Consistency?

4. Reed lurking around the front; yet, the bike ain't right...yet.

5. Dungey NOT keeping up with the crowd?

6. Villo is like a Roulette wheel: Eventually his number comes up again & again: if you think he can't win this, you're on dope.

7. Mikey 8-Hundy: What happens when he get's past the 1st lap?

8. Dark-Horses? Hello? JG, JB10, Tickle, Shorty, Weimer...any name that I left out...was on purpose; 'cause, based on this point in the season and who's doin' what in testing & practice...I'm just not seein' it.

9. Will Mitch, Rockstar and Geico unleash the Beasts in the East...? Jus' WAIT 'til we go East...the Who's-Who on the Live Timing will change: Stamp It. And, let's not forget a certain kid on a "Lite" Katoom...gonna beat his 450 team-mate...hard. If a Lites rider comes up for East...will said Lites rider go after Bam-Bam like they did in the Lites class...Remember, they don't give a Fltyin' Fark about "this year"...some of'em still pissed about past-events?

10. Someone....or "two" will be leavin' early.

If I was RV or Dunge I would be getting a little worried. Barcia's holeshots are on par.
