When I start going over to the FMX forums posting about how awesome MOTOCROSS is, then you can lecture me on the similarities.

Motocross does not just have to mean 2 wheeled engine powered offroad racing.

e,g) BMX = Bicycle Motocross

Is that ok with you ? Or shall they drop the mx part?

I suppose you also HATE BMX dirtjump and BMX park?

FMX guys at x fighters are starting to use the circuits like bmx park, making them innovative with lots of transition potential and new obstacles such as wall rides.

In 5 years time you will be amazed at how they use the terrain.

Do you also HATE K-Dub doing transfers at the sx?

You definitely hate a lot.
LOL, do you feel better now?

Unfortunately for you motocross is motocross and motocross is RACING. Period. Any other variant has a qualifier attached such as:

FREESTYLE motocross
or
BICYCLE motocross

I don't hate anyone, or anything, I simply think FMX is LAME. I never said it didn't take talent. I never said it didn't take balls. I just think the entire scene is LAME. It's a bummer that my opinion gets you so worked up... If you FMX guys truly lived the counter-culture FMX lifestyle and didn't give a rip what others thought you wouldn't be on here posting with such venom, now would you?

Perhaps you should head over to monstertatsflatbillsandpulledupblacksocks.com with all the bro brah wannabe gansta white boys that are the very reason I can't stand FMX, I'm sure they'd love to discuss the finer points of the double-corkscrew-cordova-crotch-grab with people like yourself that truly appreciate it....

I don't get why some of you are so snobby. I grew up spending my time riding in the hills jumping and hill climbing with friends. I also rode tracks a shit ton. I also owned a ramp for a while. Sure fmx isn't what it was in the beginning, but Steel Roots and Fly will always be special to a lot of us. I still enjoy riding out in the hills and or dunes with friends far more than burning laps. People take riding tracks so seriously it sucks the fun out of it for them. I see plenty of guys at local tracks who basically have a race day rig set up and look miserable because they aren't happy with how they are riding, or because the track sucks that day. Those guys are in their late 30's and are somehow pissed off at life while riding. That always makes me shake my head. Like they think being the third fastest guy on the track that day is the end all be all. I've never had a bad day in the hills after a nice rain. But hey, maybe that's just me. If you ride a bike you're cool with me. I've done it all and I'd suggest not knocking it if you haven't tried it. There is a reason you see pros out n the hills throwing whips for the cameras. Cause that's about the most fun you can have on a bike.

To be honest, I grew up racing, and rode FMX for the past 12 years. There are days I go to the motocross track now, and there is just this vibe there that is not as friendly as when I was young. So not blaming all the FMX haters, but maybe the amateur/local race crowd needs to be aware of its own snobiness.
On the flip side I can go ride SX or MX at Shorty's house and then play ride on some jumps and everything about the day is awesome. You don't have some amateur kid Bubba scrubbing every braking bump with his bike decked out in all his 20% discount sponsors, trying to take you out.

Point being, the race crowd can get just as caught up in their custom graphics, rigs, lap times, and local race results, as they imagine FMXers with their tattoos, weed, and hangovers. Stereotypes are bad m'kaaaay.

Anyone just like riding and beer anymore?

I personally like Twitch's honesty. Not many people speak their mind anymore.

X 100000000000000000000

I never said it didn't take skill or courage to ride FMX. I said it's LAME.

I can appreciate the skill and courage, it's just completely drowned out by the punk ass wannabe gansta white boy crowd that dominates the scene. Which by the way is a demographic that does NOTHING GOOD for the image of dirt bike enthusiasts in general.
What do you think hurts the image of a dirt bike enthusiast in the eyes of the public more: punk ass wannabe gangsta white boys walking around the pits at Milestone in black socks and flat billed hats, or rednecks without shirts shaking Coors Light cans and devil horns at the camera every time a National goes to commercial on TV?

It's comical to me that freestyle gets bashed on here as being "dead," especially considering that the general public around the United States is probably more likely to recognize the name "Twitch" than they are to recognize "K-Dub."

Freestyle is like monster trucks. You only go to bring your kids like a circus. How anyone can follow it on a regular basis or even watch it on TV is beyond me.

SX isn't billed as a race, it's billed as a show, same people who have Disney on Ice and Monster Jam, also have SX. Do you really think they take SX as a sport? No they treat it like Monster Jam and Disney on Ice, oh and I think they also have the circus under them as well. SX is a show! Not everyone who goes to sx, ride or even follow the sport, it's an event and something to take the kids to on a Saturday night.
Man...yer a really dumbfuck aintcha?

I've never seen so many "fans" bash people that are making a living riding on two wheels before. Would you rather these guys not ride at all?

As for Twitch, I bet Dungey would be pissed if Thor said something similar.

It's clear that this self-centered fella is the epitome of being narrow minded.

As in..."if you ain't doing what I wanna do, you're lame".

Most folks outgrow that kinda mentality after elementary school.
