RC said on the telecast they have raised the level and he is not there anymore. Probably, specially Supercross.

Are you suggesting that Zach Bell is gonna be a future RC? Silly

RC will not get back on the track. I don't think he would ever want to race for anything but the lead, and I'm pretty sure that wouldn't happen. I'd like to see where he'd be, but that's just a dream.

Nah... just that RC was back to his "amatuer" number...

I actually hadn't thought about Bell, but I see what you did there. Smile

Yeah fat and out of shape is an incurable disease. Some people will say anything to make themselves feel more important.

a couple of sessions in the gym and he'd be ready to beat Usain Bolt in a running race by the time rd2 in Pheonix rolls around, oh wait no

The op is talking about RC filling in for Josh Hill in the rounds starting from this weekend. KellyMacs point is right on the money. RC is fat, there's no point trying to sugar coat it, no pun intendedGrinning Have you seen the shape Villopoto is in? RC would get his ass handed to him by 90% of the field if he tried to race next weekend in the physical condition he is in.

I dont think KellyMac was trying to insult him or boost his own ego he was just telling it how it is, it would probably take RC at least a year of training to get in to the physical condition he would need to be in to be competitive, it takes a hell of a lot longer to lose weight than it does to gain it!

90%?

Maybe 50%. Stewart could still beat about 90% of the class with a broken hand Smile

So the RC road to Supercross is...buy a team... wait till one of your riders is hurt(hireing an oft injured rider helps with this)...use this as an excuse to fill in for a few races?

There must be a clause in his Monster Zipper contract that says he gets to double his meal pay if he races again.

RC retired 5 years ago period. That being said if he got back on the juice, oh I mean Aldon's program it wouldn't take long. Besides they stopped making twinkees!

I don't care what he weighs, but for those of you that do, he could weigh 300 pounds and kick everyones ass that is a member here.

Uh, although even a passing thought that RC would return is absolutely nuts, I'd put my money on RC in that race. Just sayin'.

I'm content with the memories of the racer that RC was. No need for him to come back and look bad. Michael Jordan tried to come back and looked pretty bad. There is, however, no reason for the fat jokes and overall lack of respect being shown here for the greatest MXer of all time. I'm sure all of you who are talking shit would not say any of it to RC's face if given the opportunity.

Theoretical question, had he stayed thru, let's say 2010, do you think he could have kept his technique up to speed to match Villo and Dungey? Reedy has seemed to do it, so there's no reason why RC couldn't have, but Supercross always presented unique obstacles for Ricky. I always wonder if he got out just in time, or if he could have kept winning championships if he stayed in it.

He would have evolved as a racer just as much as Reed , KW , Stewart and everyone else he raced against. But taking 5yrs off from racing the pro series now.......he's lost to much. In SX anyways.

Outdoors.......I think would be a different story. If he was serious about it......I wouldn't bet against him. He always....year after year found a way to evolve and pick up the pace with his competitors.

Use Reed as a measuring stick........and look what and where he has been in the past 5yrs. RC ( for the most part ) was still winning the championships from Reed.

Again...SX.......not really sure , but he would be competitive. Outdoors....you would be insane to count that dude out.

I think RC knew his days of indoor domination were over, and he'd rather retire than lose. Outdoors he would probably hold 5 more championship trophies right now.
