I'm a pee-wee dad now! Branden just turned 5 and I bought him a PW50!I was wondering if he was ready but he was more than ready. After a 5 mins talk about throttle control and brakes, he took off like it was nothing. I couldn't believe it, by far the coolest thing that I've witnessed in a while! We rode in a flat field for 2 days and then he wanted to hit the little track! I was a bit concerned but I let him try anyway, well he rode for 35 mins straight and I had to make him pull off cause he was not going to stop :o). He did so well with throttle control and brakes that I took the throttle stop out after a couple of days to help him go up the little hills. I guess all those years of watching helped cause he started to stick his leg out in corners on his own and he's now standing up int he bumps! Anyway, It's a mixed feeling of being really proud and nervous at the same time but it also makes me realize how much he's growning up and he's not a baby anymore. It's just so cool I felt the need to share with you guys.

Very Cool. We just took the training wheels off my sons PW this year(my father-in-law got him the thing for his 3rd b-day). I can def relate to the proud/nervous thing!

thats real cool,dude..my son had the same bike..one day,he hit a rock just in front of me..he fell to the ground..the full coverage broke his collar bone..he didn't know where he was for a little while..he turned into quite the rider

BTW, I remember the day I did that with my son... 18 years ago... just like it was yesterday. The fourteen years that followed were the best times in my life, and I wouldn't trade those years for anything in the world.

I had the best time ever chasing my nephew around...cheering him on and seeing him get pumped up and start twisting the throttle a little harder.

Very cool. Looks like he's having fun. By the way, I have some size 3 and size 5 MSR boots, both in excellent shape. My kid is outgrowing them fast. I also have some kids MSR gear like that, but black, hardly used and a MSR peewee chest protector. Intersted?
