No way. Baby Sting-Ray is going to have an injury free season and contend for the title.

TLD's equipment is capable, as shown by Cole "I'd like to thank Monster Ener...oooops" Seeley

Did anyone mention Cole Seely? That is my pick for the 250's in SX to put it together over the whole series.

Does anyone really think it'll be a "surprise" if Trey wins races? He's already proven he can run with, and beat, the big dogs.

For a true "surprise" rider this year, I'd have to say 125 is right; Christian Craig should/could have a break out year. I'd also like to see Millsaps do well. Talent-wise, he's capable of running with the guys at the top, he just needs to string together some confidence building rides.

With the threat of Brooks putting Shorty in a headlock, Short might grab a win or two!

I concur as well. I put him in as my dark horse last year. I think of him as a definite title contender this year. I think he is very overlooked but is as fast as anyone out there.

I think it's going to be VERY DIFFICULT for anyone to have a surprise year in the 450 class outside of the usual suspects, and Barcia.

A lot of people mentioned Millsaps; I just don't see it unless you consider 12th-15th a surprise.

It would surprise a lot of people to see Josh Hill finish the season and by virtue of that he's my pick.

For the 250s there are a number of guys, however I have a feeling that 338* in particular will have a marquee year.

Really? 12th to 15th? I know there were some people missing last year, but there's no way he would drop from a 2nd in the championship to that.

Maybe that's a little too far down, but I'm still not confident he'll have more top 10s than not in '13.

Out of the top 20 in sx last year, only 3 riders scored points every round - Davi was one of them. I'm banking on '12 being a fluke injury-wise.

I will be suprised if...

1). RV looses.
2). Dungey gets aggresive.
3). Chad is skinny.
4). James stays up longer than a yanked grenade.
5). Canard doesn't win a few
6). KW is as fast.
7). Barcias hair is hippie or yuppie.
8). Hilly doesn't scratch his head and say, "were we going this fast a couple years ago?."
9). They don't ban 2 stroke announcers like Lurch and bring back the thumpers like Irv Brawn.
10). Mookie enters without a bike and hopes he becomes connected to one during the race.
11). Roczen doesn't finish most races just like Dungey. Almost fast enough.
12). Josh Grant doesn't use the Mint app.
13). Alessi looks forward.

The answers are to be used for the sole purpose of amusement.
Just tryin to have some fun.

I'm putting some money on Chiz to surprise some people. Last time he rode a supercross track on a bike he loved, he broke up the big 5 in practice. I just hope he can get on the backside of these injuries of the last couple of years.

Here's a second vote for Tickle. Some top 3s and maybe a win if he gets some breaks. He's still in his upward curve and I have a feeling the RMZ will agree with him.

What about Max Anstie? I read somewhere he was planning on 250 west with suzuki support? Defintiely got potential for some solid results

Villapoto will take the championship after a few battles with Stewart and Barcia. Chad Reed is going to battle hard with Dungey who will finish second in points and Reed will round out top three. There will be no Tickle...too much pressure...not enough speed.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Coley Seely uses his whole shot talent to his advantage and runs away from the pack early in multiple races resulting in a championship.

Rusk- Remember almost a top 10 at Monster Cup first time ever riding a 450. Lap times right now are right there with top guys. Can we say break out year for #66.

Sad thing is - there are usually very few surprises. haha. Performance wise I mean.

The big 4 with be on the podium the most. Stewart will win and crash. Dunge will do his steady eddy thing, as will Reed. RV will be the man. Only difference is the guys like Short, Weimer and co on the second tier will be a few spots back due Barcia and Canard stealing spots. Call me a cynic. haha.

What i mean by this, is I don't see Weimer suddenly running with RV and co. I don't see Short, Milsaps or any of them stepping up like that. The real fireworks is Barcia & Canard. Or guys like Osbourne. Seeing where they will fit in.

They're all uber talented, I wouldn't be surprised if any of them won. I'd be surprised if this guy won:
