Too many CR 500 and KX 500 conversions to aluminum, found some RM's alu versions:

Why would you need to? They handle awesome withe the steel frames, and the aluminum probably doesn't save that much weight.

They all look sweet. The front fender on the top one is pretty jacked up though. I wonder how the power and torque of a 500 motor would perform in that super quick turning frame. We need AJ to do a shootout of the KX, CR, and RM 500s.

That's a great idea! I'd love to see it.

Stick Lance and some serious mofoing EPO's on the bottom pic to get it up to the 5!

Still waiting for someone to put a Quadzilla 500 engine in a RMZ frame.

That first bike is outrageous. I've had CR500's and RM's and can only imagine what that thing must be like to ride. I'll bet you can get into trouble quickly.

I'd still love to take a few laps on it.

Finishing mine up this week. It's fairly easy to do.

I thought that those motors were physically fairly large compared to a CR or KX motor.

Im just lol'ing at the RM engine in the old chunky 450 frame.
It would handle better and be more nimble with the standard frame I reckon.
But 10 points for effort.

Hate to tell you this, but that first one is a CR500 engine in an RMZ chassis.

Yeah, have you ridden a steel framed RM250? Turns better than a yz125 stock I reckon.

Suzuki must have copied the steel frame when they made the aluminum one. All the 05 RM 250 parts bolt right on to the 05 RMZ frame. I guess rigidity is the difference. Guess I'll find out when I ride it.
