When I was coming up, the big team was Factory Honda. Bailey, Johnson, O'Mara (for a little while), Mickey Diamond, Guy Cooper... These guys went to Honda and nearly dominated the sport. RJ took on the guns of Wardy and Dogger of Kawasaki, Yamaha didn't have a real threat (or so it seemed), and Suzuki was just a bit off pace. In the mid-80's, the Honda Factory ride was the thing to have. Later on, the "dominance" of the brand continued with JBM and Stanton, then McGrath.

Now that the landscape of SX/MX has changed and the way teams and sponsors are laid out, what would be the team you dream of growing up to ride for?

IMO - If you get picked up by Mitch at PC, you've really accomplished something. His track record speaks for itself and going there seems to guarantee you will be a success. However, that's a 250 team. Would the new big dog up and coming be KTM? Is the one to gun to join Kawasaki? If you are a 10 year old mini racer and you dream of being on a factory team. What team do you dream about?

What are your thoughts?

Kawasaki/ PC Kawasaki. Dreamed it my whole life. Showing up to the few amateur nationals I raced and seeing the rigs Team Green had... oh man I would of been in heaven racing out of one of those rigs. This would of been early 2000's.

Now, I would have a hard time choosing between Geico and Pro Circuit (if they were both banging down my doors). I am still a huge fan of Kawasaki through and through. Mainly because of how well they take care of me, as an employee, and how well they take care of their customers after the sell. That being said, I think Mitch is going to have his hands full with Geico. Which will be great for us fans!

So for both of you guys, the "big dream" is to hit the 250 class? Interesting. (not judging at all)

I think the 10 year old mini racers dream of the Canard/Barcia career track of Geico amateur team, Geico pro team, factory Honda.

This. 2-3 years ago I would have told you that PC Kawi was the sign that you had made it, and then following that up with a Factory Suzuki ride would be the best path. Now I think going through the Geico Honda team to Factory Honda would be the way I'd want to go.

KTM... easy transition to the US or the GPs within the same structure with great staff on either side. and capable of winning both.

For bikes I think I would be one of the few who would love to take the Roczen/Musquin path. Factory KTM in Europe then come to the US, ride 250 for 2 years then get on the 450.

As far as my scene, ATV racing. I would have loved to be on the Factory Kawi Team while it was going. Now Can-Am is the only factory ride going.

I was referring to the amateur programs moving up to the 250 class and then eventually to the 450's staying with 1 brand etc... sorry I should have been more clear in my statement.

Factory Suzuki has always been my dream. But if I were 10 years old and dreaming of a top lites ride, I would go with Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki based on their history.

The hardest thing about riding a quad is having to tell your parents you're gay.

The only reason I am not gonna bash this picture like everyone else is that Creamer is a good friend.

Factory Honda does not appeal to me in the slightest bit. I have always thought of them as a team of hardasses that makes unimaginably poor choices in terms of signing and dumping riders.

For me, factory KTM would have to be the golden ticket, followed by PC Kawi.

Wasn't it Red Bud where guys on quads had quicker lap times? That's impressive to me.

Do quads corner faster than dirt bikes like cars > road bikes? Either way I wouldn't be surprised if they do some pretty serious work to a track before letting the 4-wheelers on...it doesn't look as rough or something.

OT: if I were a mini kid and hadn't had my head filled with anti-KTM/European propaganda, that team would probably look like the dream to me. It's as much about the riders as anything, I think, and Musquin, Roczen and Dungey seem like they would really appeal to young riders.
