I figured the synthetics with the API TC is all good enough, despite brand or cost. But this constant debate about ratio? I know people that run as low as 40:1, but at the same time I hear people actually poor 20:1 in their smokers, and I know the higher the rev, the less percentage as in oil migration time, like an engine would feel satisfied with 40:1 below 8000 rpm, but will demand more, so you can newer have the exact right amount, other than going for the higher demand.
But poring 20:1 into the gas, feels like I'm going to clog the spark plug. I remember testing this on my 80 1984, and the plug lasted for a couple of minutes...
Any input?

Been using Golden Spectro @ 50:1 for 30+ years and have never had a motor blow. Replaced my YZ250's crank because I was feeling guilty at 2000+ hours.....and it was still in spec.
There are a lot of other ways to skin the cat, but note that Maxima never recommends higher than 32:1 for high rpm, small displacement engines.
I also use ringfree to the specs it says on the bottle. I have run it without and with and when doing a top end you can tell it burns cleaner with the ringfree. The ringfree I believe is made by Chevron which is similar to the techron they put in their fuel but at a different ratio.
in my 05 RM 250, runs perfect, zero spooge. PC pipe, V3 reeds & new top end
** I heard back in the day, according to dyno's; made more ponys w/ more oil (20-32 to 1 ratio)
Lucas Oil Semi Synthetic pre-mix at 32:1 in all of our two strokes from our 50cc days to our current 125's & 250's.
Jet accordingly to whatever "oil" and "ratio" you go with. More oil (20:1) needs fatter jetting. Less oil (40:1) needs leaner jetting etc., etc.
Cant go wrong with 32:1 and it's easy to remember the mix-ratio 32:1 = 4 ounces of oil to 1 gallon fuel.
.
It was quite a pain in the but as I remember, having to drain it from the tanks and get it out of the carbs right after using it. It was also hard to get the bike started in the cold, we improvised a system where we parked the bike by the running car exhaust and put a blanket over it to preheat the engine. I seem to remember that the jets were roughly twice the size that they needed to be for gasoline, and that in experimenting with the settings the shop seized an engine or two while they got it down.
It was a letdown going back to gas, not just from the decrease in performance, but that Blendzall/Alchohol smell was magical. What a cool smell that was. I've thought of trying that with an 06 YZ125 that I professionally practice on these days, just for shits and grins, but I have no earthly idea how to go about setting it up.

Still they say shit about the freezing temp?
Well, I have been riding for a decade now, and always used oils according to the spec standards acquired in the manual, rather than popular brands people recommend...
Now my buddy runs 28:1 in his '06 YZ250. He runs oil from wal mart, and it has ran two seasons on this set up other then a new top end. It is a fully ported Henderson motor and thing runs sweet. He has no spooge as I dont either, but we are both Vet B riders (quasi fast) and ride decent. I would say in Sweden a 32:1/ 40:1 depending on your gas and jetting should be safe.
