that Bubba was an animal. the current one is an animal too, but can't seem to stay off the ground.

His bike was SOO sketchy thru those whoops before the finish. Damn.

What kills me, is he can get THAT swapped out lap after lap and just repeat and execute.

Different mindset that most humans.

I hope he has a great year, win or not.

He still has it in him.

By far the most exciting rider to watch ride. Win or lose.

When he scrubbed to the inside of both those riders on the triple was just pure art. Same thing when he passed Tedesco, pinched him off and just layed that thing flat off that step down. Classic Bubba right there.

Wow! Doesn't matter who your s fan off that video should make you smile. When James was/is on there's no answer to him .., records aside he's gotta be considered one of the greatest supercross riders ever.. Would love to see him that comfortable and consistent again...

I agree. I think he is going to remind some people who's the boss indoors this year on the Zook. Just my opinion and my gut feeling but he looked pretty darn good outdoors for a couple races before his speed bit him. That's outdoors though where he hadnt raced since 2008. James is far from old and still has more speed in him than anyone out there even RV. I think his returning to the outdoors will bring back the all around beast we used to know

Yep, there's a few more elite guys with similar speed now to have to outrun or chase down and pass. He seems to be able to get away with riding on the edge for a while but with stiffer competition he has to do if more often thus resulting in the increase in soil samples.

His speed through the corners and whoops as well as his ability to keep his momentum up is totally amazing.

Hopefully 2013 will be injury free for all of them and one of the best and most competitive years for SX and MX ever, or at least in recent history. I'd take that, and not really care at all who was the winner in the end!

The guy in that video must be a JS7 from an alternate universe.
He started in last place and never fell once the entire race.

I was at that race and you could see it coming. Everybody in the section I was in was on their feet the entire main event. Awesome race!

The field is a lot more stacked these days.
JS, CR, RV, RD, TC, JB... 6 riders that could win. Going to be a great season. Hope all stay healthy.

I'm gonna attempt the math on this one. He started dead last with 20 riders, so he passed 19 to get to first. Then he laps Andrew Short who finished 8th. So he passed 13 more(including any DNFs) for a total of 32. That clip was a little over 16 minutes and he passed 32 riders. So he was passing someone every 30 seconds. That's insane. Now my head hurts.

That triple, triple, triple rhythm he was doing was so perfect. That was the best I've ever seen James Stewart ride a supercross track. He just finds stuff out there that anyone else would crap their pants just thinking about it. But the last couple of seasons of tracks have been pretty much the same every weekend and that doesn't really work in his favor. Everybody does pretty much the same stuff. And whenever James tries something crazy, it doesn't always work out. Yeah the Yamaha was definitely an issue but if they put some different rhythm busters in the tracks, James has the potential to blow everyone away. If anything, it would create better racing as a whole.

I honestly think the slow moving heavy handling Kawi might have helped James... He was ridiculous in 2007... At Vegas when he jumped over the whoops in front of Chad you could just see Reedy go FUCK THAT!

2006: First turn crash, finishes 2nd.
2007: See above.
2008: Misses due to injury.
2009: Crashes twice, finishes 2nd. Breaks winning streak.
2010: Misses due to injury.
2011: Terrible start, finishes 2nd.
2012: Heat race crash, doesn't qualify for main.

Wow.. Hard to believe how much the sport has changed in 5 years.

1. Monster Energy had not yet taken over as the title sponsor of the series and the track was not plastered in monster claw hay bales.
2. Heath Voss, DV12, Charles Summey, Jeff Gibson damn a lot of guys are to around anymore.
3. Reed riding the Yamaha with his "unbound" energy drink sponsor.
4. Milsaps rocking the 118 on the factory Honda.
5. Besides his stint riding the 350, has Andrew Short ever NOT been on a factory Honda? The dude has always been on one of the best bikes out there.
6. Tedesco on factory Suzuki, this guy has had the opportunity to ride a lot of good bikes in his career.
7. Stewart looking hungry and confident.. I hope to see him like this again this year,

I hope that stewart does not show up to A1. That will be boring because he will wax them.
