USA got owned at Nations this year: http://www.examiner.com/article/2012-motocross-of-nations-final-results They couldn't match the other countries speed. How sweet would it be if they got, for next year, Sewart, Villopoto, and Dungey. lol probably unrealistic, but that team would be unreal. It would be like a USA Dream Team for basketball. What do you guys think?

Send the same team as this year to Teutschenthal next year and see what happens. These guys got beat straight up. No excuses, but next year they'll want their revenge.

Honestly, I think that the US team most importantly got beat by themselves. Two DQ's in one weekend? I'm glad we didn't win because it makes this sport better and it also humbles us from the states.
On a side note, the track for next year looks kind of fun...........

You.

No one can possibly know who's going to be available at this point, and even then there would be a brawl because of the options.

This years team would do fine next year. About four different other configurations would, too, but let's let a season of SX and MX tell us a bit more.

Before the MXdN, this team was incredible and now they did 3rd in a very difficult track that surpised them and you blame them. Fuck! Who is a better than Baggett on a 250 in the USA? Tomac? What makes you think he wouldn't have struggled and crashed neither? Who is the Lites champ? Stewart? He would have fell mounting on his bike. Come on, be proud of them, it's now they need your support. Pfff, Villopoto, Stewart, Dungey. Who would ride the 250F and sandbag?

You need to take time and confront your denial of the fact your best riders got spanked and a free clinic on riding on a real track. Real riders adapt and rise to the challenge and other get lapped in the process.

You sir are spewing all over this board today. Where were you the last 7 years?

Congratulations to Germany and Belgium and to the US team. It was always going to be an uphill battle from the day they announced this track for the 2012 MXDN. Witness all the talk over the last year reflecting this track being a possible Waterloo for the US team. That statement is not to detract from what the 2 teams and Cairoli and Herlings accomplished. They rode fantastically.

I definitely agree with you. My point was that I just think it would be really cool to see Dungey, Stewart and Villopoto on a team... Obviously, we have no clue what's going to be going on by next year and realistically they would put a lites rider like Baggett or Tomac for MX2 anyways.

A real track? You mean the rest of MXDN have not been on a real track.

You are a sore winner.

Merci beaucoup pour tes sentiments. Tu n'est pas mal pour un Francais Wink

Je suis tres fier de nos hommes. C'est sympa que je ne suis pas le seul. Comme on dit aux etats unis "There is always next year"

There is just something uncomfortable about this statement, "you can't prepare for a track like that..." it makes us look like we have an excuse for losing. We lost cause they were better, period, just amazing to watch those guys in sand. I hope it just pisses off next year's picks for America.

If the US got spanked this year, every other country got spanked the last 7 years by the US. Which they didnt, every other country fought just as hard as we did this year.

Just a question. What would be said if USA got their 8th victory in a row?

im not making excuses , its just the truth. i heard from many guys over there you need to ride that stuff alot. just because they went a week early didnt mean they were ready. when i saw the practice videos it was clear we were in trouble. and i dont care what you say even though those guys were just practicing when roczen passed them in practice earlier in the week "you know" thats not good.you still ride hard in practice and dont let up. i dont let guys beat me in practice i race with. it screws with your head. did dungey or blake look like what weve seen from them this year. i would say no

I thought we had a very good team this year; Two AMA national champions and a regional SX champ. We got beat straight up, the other guys were better this time around. We'll have to wait and see what happens next year.

I have no issues with the team we sent but as far as Tomac goes, he's prob the best sand rider in the National's. Before clipping the tree at Southwick, he had just closed like a 15sec lead by Bagget in 3-4 laps. Straight whupped everyone at Texas too. Stewart? Would have made no difference. Bubba 2006-2008 was otherworldly outdoors and one bad mofo in sand but then he decided to go SX only. Hope he makes it outdoors again next year.

I think it is 23 years old max for the MX2 rider, Tomac? although he is a bit big for the 250 in MX & hinted that he would like to race 450 MX in 2013
