With all the extra viewer from USA, you can be sure that the feed will be hideous, if working at all.

Yeah I guess you're most probably right. However it does seem to vary tremendously in my area. Last year for instance I didn't have any issues with the MXDN Saturday qualifiers. Same with the Nationals this year - most of the time good, other times crap. I'll just have to hope for the best next week like everyone.

Cairoli is just awesome, beating the Germans with an injured finger too. What a rider. He is going to have to deal with them again in moto two, and they will want to beat him. Hopefully Pourcel will get away with them too and we can have a five way battle for the lead.

The atmosphere when Nagl and Roczen were 1-2 was amazing. That's what GPs are all about right there.

What's up with CP lately, hearts not in it?
Crash on first lap, riding with an injury,a broken shoulder.Cairoli dislocated a finger yesterday but pressured an moved away, looks a cut above everyone,Roczen looking good though, there's about 6 or 7 guys that are all very similar in spped really, can't wait for the 2nd race!

Anyone else notice US privateer Austin Howell is racing this GP in MX1?

Details?

And the last laugh goes to Searle.

So much for wonderkid Herlings then who admitted he couldn't hang with Tommy. Anyone who thinks Herlings could mix it with the front runners in the US is kidding themselves.

23 riders in the "World Championship" MX1 class. I'm sorry but that is just pathetic, worse than a Canadian national.

Can't wait to see what Thailand looks like next year. Maybe Chaing Mai Sing can give Cairoli and run for his money when he's 5 laps down.

I love the GPs but Luongo has about reduced it to the level when Dorna was running it in 2003. If they want to kill the series that bad the next GP should be in Darfur.

At least there were all legitimate pros on the line. When you get riders that couldn't win a local novice class race scoring gp points, like in Mexico, that's when it looks bad.

your kidding yourself if you think he couldn't. Not that it matters, could those guys beat him to a world title? They would find it pretty hard.

Herlings could definitely compete in the states on hard-packed tracks -- he looked really good at St. Jean D'Angely on a very hard pack and slick track, and on a big bike to boot. But I don't think he's faster now than Roczen or Musquin, unless it's in the sand.

You're right. It doesn't matter....Pretty sure the AMA front runners aren't too concerned about a so called "World Title"!

19 - DNF today in the second rate series.

At Lake Elsinore he went 20-26. Speedwise the AMA riders are just in a different league.

Finished ahead of three riders on his way to 19th in moto one, right? Whistling

He went 14-14 at Unadilla and 18-15 at Steel City.

If the bullshit on here was to be believed you would have expected him to have finished inside the top ten easily.

Nice ride by Tonus and an insane ride out of nowhere from Osborne should hopefully cheer Steve Dixon up a little too.

I'm sure a lot of people were also hoping for Roczen to just step in and hand Cairoli his ass with his new found National pace and super duper charge the whole way "intensity". Nope Wink .

Seriously though, not that I dislike Ken at all. I think he was awesome today and it was great him being there. Crowd went wild.

Guess who was laughing in Faenza? He had the red plate fdrom day 1 and was never challenged for the titles lead.
He's already worldchampion, blew up his bike in race 1 so didn't give a damn about race 2 cause he couldn't win the overall anymore.
So much for Tommy's win today... enjoy it.

Herlings has only 1 thing on his mind since winning the world title, Motocross of Nations in Lommel! Racing with the best of the world on a 350! Teutschental was just because he had to be there.

It's a real pleasure to watch Cairoli ride. Not just talent, but great tactical instinct. Obviously rooting for the US guys to won motos and the event next weekend, but given how crazy his MXdN experiences have been, I'd be happy as a fan of the sport to see AC have a big day next weekend.

Nope, no Worries...

Over here, his own RMZ...

Over there, a KXF that he hasn't had much time on & it's waaaaaaaay different than what he's accustom to. Give him & the Team some time together...

I'm proud of him & the Team.

In that case it must have been a completely different Jeffrey Herlings who was interveiwed before the second race saying he wanted to win the final moto, and again after the race saying that becuase of Searle's speed he was incapable of doing so.
9/23/2012 11:56pm
Even if you accept that Tommy Searle completely blew Jeffrey out the water this weekend it doesn't matter, it's an irrelevance. The goal was the championship and Jeffrey won that. Not beating up on Tommy, just being fair to both guys. Ultimately the last laugh (if you want to look at it that way, though both guys now seem fairly amicable) has most definitely NOT gone to Searle. But with that said he fought really hard this year, no doubt. And gave us British fans someone to cheer for as our own all year.

Congrats to both.

I hear what you're saying but my point was that if he can't beat the likes of Searle when he wants to he has little chance of beating the top Americans in the US.

That he couldn't beat Searle yesterday may be irrelevant in consderation of the MX2 championship but it is entirely relevant to the question of how good he actually is.

We won't know untill he goes to America. Everyone can compare the results of his competion from a few years ago when they did less 2 seasons of learing a new system and being injured.

We won't know untill he goes to the US. But by then I expect the front of the 250 class to look different.

All good points,Indeed, the class's on both sides change all the time,Tommy has improved on the KX each year, that's visible and the competition between these two has brought them both on IMO,both have had their stand-out days, that's MX for you,if Herlings' bike hadn't gone bang in the first race things may have gone down totally different too
