No worries, there are Plenty of people that like to be "on the ground" on Thursday...just not usually the riders.

man that so sucks............it's really bad how it seems some really good guys with amazing talent just can't shake the black cloud......mentally really beats you down........

as some have said these days just pushin the limit and ridin the edge constantly.......even more impressive to see a guy like Dungey do what he does..........sure hope that all the players can get to A1.....

Hoping for a speedy recovery for Tommy. I believe it was last year (maybe the year before) at Unadilla that Wil Hahn ate it hard right in front of us. He was out cold for awhile. I kept wanting to jump over the fence to signal to the riders that he was down. All the flagger did was stand next to Wil and wave the flag. I don't think any of the riders even knew that a rider was in the middle of the track. They were hitting ruts right next to his head. No, this isn't a bash on flaggers. I just instantly thought of it before we found out that this was at Masterpool's track. I was thinking some bad luck at Dilla for the Hahn boys.

If I had enough money, I would fund some research on how injuries affect your body. Sure seems to me that once you have had a catastrophic injury, your likely hood of having another serious injury goes up exponentially. I am wondering if the recovery from the initial injury weakens your body/bones to where what would normally have been a get up and walk off crash ends up with major injuries.........

Another update from Cherie. Tommy won't be needing back surgery and is being released from the hospital tonight. His shoulder may require later surgery.

Bummer deal that this happened but great news that his back doesn't require surgery!

I personally think it has more to do with recovery and rehabilitation. A serious injury doesn't just hurt for a while and it's gone. It takes a fair amount of time to get back the strength, flexibility, and even the agility from where you started. The result is, lots of people come back from injury and have the ability and skill level to run a very good pace. The problem is, stamina has been lost, strength has been lost, and the first thing you know, you've made a mistake and your body doesn't have the ability to correct for it. Result is big crash and another injury that saps even more of all of those things. I could be totally wrong, but that seems to be what I experienced anyway.

Best wishes to Tommy Hahn for quick recovery. That was a major highlight seeing him get that red bike on the podium last weekend.

Sucks how two of the nicest guys ( brothers ) on the gate always end up hurt. I believe tommy said this was pretty much his last attempt at racing as a job and had an awesome moto last week only to have this happen. Hope he recovers quick and gives it another shot!

It does seem strange how some people go injury free while others are always hurt. Are some just that much better or is it luck? I guess we all wish we knew that answer.

Hahn was absolutely flying at Shoug. Looked to be killing it at the wick too. Sucks to see riders get hurt when they're on the mend. Hope to see the kid back at it soon.

And additionally, an injury is the equivalent of reverse training. Dungey has been able to train for years now without an injury with the exception of his relatively minor injury last SX season. It makes him that much stronger, more consistent and faster. If you've been plagued by injuries, you've spent a lot of time rehabilitating those injuries rather than doing fitness training.

Good luck to the Hahn family.
