put Stewart on there if healthy...take 250f winner for mx2, that simple. Stewart and Alessi deserve mx3 spot more than Barcia, they've been riding the 450 all year. Barcia isnt a bad pick for mx3, but I think its disrespectful to the other guys, besides what if Barcia wins 250 title?

Which ever way you look at it, Roger has picked the three fastest riders the USA has to offer at this point.

Lets just hope Barcia and Baggett are both peaking at Lommel. I don't think Dungey can do it all on his own!

Well, the writing was on the wall with that MXA Roger Decoster interview earlier, so not a real surprise.

That's the best team imo. Good choices.

IMHO it's not about respect/disrespect, it's about sending the best team to represent the USA. I'm comfortable with Barcia on this decision. The only reason I think you could consider alessi is his starting skills and consistency. But Barcia is every bit as good a starter as Alessi is. He even got greats starts on the 450 last year in those few appearances. He also flat out ran a Dungey in two or three motos last year until the last couple laps. The kid can twist the throttle pretty good.

Bottom line! Send you best shot at bringing the trophy back home..

P.S. Tomac is looking really fast in the sand today so far. So even with some our fast guys hurt we still have several to pick from!!

Alessi held off Dungey for 14 mins without any shenanigans....in the sand. So there.

Stewart isn't consistent enough in Europe. He can't handle the culture change

Why do you post shit like this???

Last I checked he has never lost in europe. USA is 2-0 when he has gone. Seems pretty good to me.

..and was 16+ seconds behind at the finish. He's doing great, but that does not make him one of the top three best choices. If one of the top three were to get hurt between now and the MXDN I'd pick Alessi or Tomac in a heartbeat. But not now.

Few seem to remember the *ss whoopin' Barcia served up on a 450 the 2nd moto at the 'Wick last year. Wasn't a healthy RV there?

That gives him the same amount of 450 moto wins as Alessi in the last year, plus has a little help from HRC.

Ass whoopin? I do not remember it going down like that.

1. They were racing in the remnants of Hurricane Irene. Dean Wilsons (250 points leader) steaming/overheating bike barely finished the 250 moto. You know someone from Kawi put a bug into RV's (450 points leader) ear to make sure the bike finishes. Championship is goal #1. Barcia and Reed both blew up their motors in moto 1.
2. RV knew Dungey (his only concern) did not make it to the gate.
3. RV was cruising that moto. Metcalfe and Brayton beat him.

Barcia was good but in no way was RV even concerned with him on that day.

I recall that "THE MAN" has some personal experience with 800 and perceive that he want's no part of him or associated baggage.
I would think that the last thing you would want on a "TEAM" (emphasis on team not I or me) representing the USA is some overactive mini dad running around.
Outstanding choice for TEAM USA.
Bring on the smack down.

Stewart should've been the open class rider. I believe hes riding already and by the time mxon rolls in he should be in shape and ready to go, oh and the guy kills it on sand tracks. 250 class any of the three would perfrom great tomac, barcia or bagget.
