Would this be a slap in the face if he beats Barcia?
and what about DeCoster's decision to pick Barcia over Alessi?
Who will the other 2 riders be (MX2, MX3)?
Maybe Alessi's teammate (Jake Canada MX2)
and local Puerto Rico MX3 rider?
This team could be a top 5 overall in the MXDN (with one throw out moto)

It wouldn't surprise me if Alessi would take pride in causing the US to lose if he's not on the team, one way or another...

I know it sounds daft and I'm sure Puerto Ricans won't agree, but the whole Puerto Rican anomoly seems to provide the perfect opertunity to have that American B team people go on about. No disrespect to their top boys but seing Zosbourne, Jimmy and Mike at the Nations would just add even more drama. Alessi has always been the 'ugly duckling' regarding the selection for the Nations can you imagine how motivated he would be! Cool

I think this is a BIG mistake by DeCoster. Mike is great at starts he could easily be a front runner if not a race winner. DeCoster obviously still has a grudge from their past days of working together. Mike is 2nd best in the 450s and just won a moto, he deserves to be on the team. And i'm not even an Alessi fan. Although i think i am now simply because he has become such an underdog. Poor guy busts his ass week in and week out and "THE MAN" doesn't even hold true to picking the team like they have for so many past years. Mike is 2nd in points and proven he can be a front runner, he should be on the US team PERIOD!

His holeshot and block method will get him punted off the track at the Des Nations. I'm sure De Coster has thought about it and knows what he's doing.

And Albertson was knocked out at Washougal but otherwise okay according to reports. Both he and Zach are in tight with the guy who organizes the Puerto Rico MXDN effort so if they are not ready for a race 2 months from now then maybe someone else gets drafted to the team.

It's about putting together the best team. Barcia has proved he's faster than Alessi.

Didn't they race in the B Main last year? If you're not in the A Main...you're not beating Barcia, Dungey, Bagget or causing USA to lose.
