just wondering what cars do you own/drive? and what are the good and bad things about them.

2002 chevrolet silverado 5.7 vortec. with 100k miles.

good:
reliable, powerful, handles o.k. on the highways.

bad:
only seats 3, gas mileage.

2007 Dodge Charger RT (yeah, it has a Hemi)
Great ride, decent gas mileage if you keep your foot out of it!

I also have my old 1997 Dodge Intrepid with 232,456 miles on it! Still gets 28 mpg. I drive it most of the time to keep miles off the Charger and I don't drive the Charger on rainy days or bad weather days. I know, I get shit from my family for that!

05 Mustang GT

Good: I found one with cloth interior! traction control works great in the winter
Borla exhaust sounds good, easy mods to do on it.
Nitrous refills are cheap! Gets good gas milage when I don't romp around on it.

Bad: only seats 4, but it's just me and the kid now, so screw people who want rides. Gas is expensive, when you mod it, you have to flash the ECU, so that was $380 for a flash tuner. Superchargers are expen$ive.( thats why I have a brand new nitrous kit awaiting instal!)

The thing is a 'Hit me ' magnet. IT's currently in the shop now because some ding bat pulled out in front of me. (Bonus 3500lbs of american muscle with destroy a neon that pulls out in front of it going 30mph, I got away with a broken steering rack, front suspesion, and sheet metal damage, oh and a busted wheel.) I should get it back tomorrow after 3 weeks.

07 Toyota FJ Cruiser
Love it
Tons of room and handles well on/off road and at speed
If I took it easy (har) I could easily get a 20MPG average (street/hwy)
There really is nothing I don't like about it

'08 GMC HD2500 Dmax 4x4: Best truck I've ever owned. Plus, it gets unreal mileage. No real cons, other than the cost of diesel doubling since I bought it.
'05 Jeep Rubicon: Awesome offroad, probably the best off the floor off road vehicle made........last year before it went all soccer mom. Cons: shitty hwy ride, piss poor gas mileage.
'96 Dodge Dakota 4x4: Kids truck.....what can you say. Has 90K on it, cost 4K, runs like new, gets about 24 mpg.
'80 Chevy 1/2 ton shortbox: Project truck, kind of just sitting. Perfect body, 6cyl with 4spd manual and dual tanks. Intent is for it to be my daughter's truck, waiting for a good deal on a carb'd small block to drop in it.

My everyday cars

2000 Cadillac STS (love that car. A luxury GTO)
2003 GMC Envoy (really nice car and much easier on the gas than the Escalade)

I'm also in a little car club with my brother and his partner that we pool our exotics and classics in a shared shop/storage facility. Everybody basically gets to drive everyone else's cars (just don't wreck em). I'm making out like a bandit there. The vintage stuff is my contribution.

1971 429CJ Mach 1
1950 Chevy 3600 Pickup
1970 GTO
2006 Cadillac STS
2007 Corvette
2008 Corvette
2005 Porsche Carrera S
2002 Aston Martin DB7
2003 Aston Martin AR1
2007 Aston Martin Vantage

In other words, my brother's partber (and best friend) is kind of wealthy. Even though we all have a green light to drive anything in there, neither my brother or I really can bring ourselves to just jump in and go blitzing around town in one of the Astons. Too stressful to have much fun. A door ding would be a major freak out. I think we've each driven the DB7 once and the AR1 (only 99 in existence) once. But what a rush that was. The AR1 has 208 miles on it (as of yesterday).

'95 Honda Civic
Pros: 40mpg and it slides great in the snow at 65mph.
Cons: It has the power of a kitchen blender.

'99 Crew Cab Diesel F250
Pros: 17mpg whether I'm driving it like I stole it or nursing it around town.
Cons: 17mpg.

'05 Volvo XC70
Pros: Handles great on dry or in deep snow.
Cons: I coulda bought 4 Service Honda 500's for what I paid for that damn thing.

I just went and bought a 2008 Tundra Crewmax 2WD on the 4th of July. Best truck I've ever owned or driven, nothing else even comes close. It's better than my 06 F150 Supercrew in every possible way. Smoother, faster, bigger inside, quieter inside, stops better, tows better, better gas mileage, better stereo, killer hands free crap, more knick-knacks inside, full rear window rolls down, cab doesn't resonate like an alien space ship if you drive more than 25mph with a window rolled down, and costs about the same.

The only thing I miss about the F150, is the little keypad on the drivers side door. That is the coolest thing ever when you're at the track or some remote riding spot. You just lock the keys and all of your valuable crap in the truck, and then use the keypad for access later.

2007 Subaru STI

I've done a bunch of stuff to the car and it handles really well and has big brakes that stop in a hurry. It could use more power than the tuned 310hp /345 tq to all four wheels.

It is a blast to drive, but I get so many clowns in G35s, Hondas and BMWs that want to play, it just gets tiresome. If there are corners involved there aren't many cars on the road that have anything for it as it is setup. Great commuter car that gets you in and out of trouble real quick. Absolutely my favorite car to drive. Low on accoutrements, weak AC, but it was cheap and does everything very well.

2001 BMW 330i Sport

It's a nice car that does everything pretty good but nothing very well. Kind of a blend between performance and luxury. Rides rough, tramlines like crazy and there is a ton of road noise. The staggered wheels suck from a wear perspective and I hate all 40 series tires.

At 80 something thousand miles it is starting to fall apart and replacement parts are expensive. Thing is way over engineered making simple fixes a giant pain. I do all of my own wrenching. BMW dealers and the people in them suck and many parts are just unavailable aftermarket.

But if you want to run down the highway at 100+ with the Harmann Kardon stereo blasting and the AC on this is the touring car for you.

06 Subaru Impreza 2.5i (the wifes car)

Pros: Good gas mileage, but not great for a 4 cyclider, wife loves it. Not an STI.
Cons: Not an STI...kinda small (but that's why the wife drives it)

01 Isuzu Rodeo (the bike hauler):

Pros: Pulls the bikes well. Reliable (minus the ticky tack things).
Cons: It's a v-6 that gets the same (worse) mileage than a v-8.

06 Triumph Speed Triple

Pros: Fun, 43 mpg, fun, looks cool, fun, wife thinks it's sexy, fun, fast, fun, comfortable (for a sport bike), fun.
Cons: Fast, only holds two people, After market exhaust is like $1,200, forces me to neglect my family (because I always want to blitz the canyons on it), No AC.

Pros - Its got the big engine, so I can tow anything i want and never even notice it.
- Engine running strong at 160,000 on the clock.

Cons - This shit is starting to fall apart.
- Gas mileage sucks balls. Best I can get is 17 and that is driving like an old lady

2007 F-150 Super Crew Lariat long(er) bed 4X4.

This is my fourth F-150.

I get invited to drive all the up-coming truck models and brands every year (and get paid to do it!!!), and Ford has always had the best over-all package.

18 MPG highway, 13 around town, 10 pulling the ToyHauler.

Cons: I have a lot of friends and relatives who don't own trucks, so I end up hauling a other peoples stuff on a regular basis.

My other car is a 1968 Porsche 912.

Fun to drive, decent mileage, cheap to register and insure, looks really cool.

Cons: It smells like a VW.

'01 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4x4 Crew Cab Duramax/Allison

Pros: It will pull anything I want to pull. I get about 18 MPG not pulling no matter where I drive it. It's big, roomy, powerful, and reliable. Fuel mileage isn't that bad for something that's a necessity for pulling a 36' Raptor Toyhauler.

Cons: $4.67/gallon diesel, parts are expensive when you have to replace them, mileage is approaching 150k and I'm jonesing for a new(er) ride.

'06 Suzuki SV650 for commuting. I don't drive the truck much anymore. Now I'm worried it will start to go downhill sitting in the garage.

Pros: SV gets about 54 MPG at 60 MPH. Looks cool. A blast to ride around on the river roads here.

Cons: It's a Suzuki and the seat is hard. Plus, right now it sounds like a sewing machine.

'06 Chevy Equinox for the wife

Pros: It's not mine and it hauls the family well.

Cons: Very small trunk space.

2006 Nissan Titan KC on 20" MB razors wrapped with Pirelli Scorpion XTR.

Love the truck, it's a hot rod. Have killed many a Ford and Chevy trucks. Get so many compliments on the truck wherever I go.

Con - Gas mlg sucks. City driving I get 13 mpg, hwy I get 16mpg.
