I thought we had been voting on Vital all year? Did I miss somthing?

I thought that RD always announced it at Unadilla also but I could be wrong.

I dont' see how it can be anyone BUT Dungey, Stewart, and Baggett.

Of course, how does Baggett go in the sand? I know Barcia flies in it....if Baggett flounders, I'd take Barcia over him.

I'll give stewart two moto's to figure out where he needs to be, and I expect him to dominate every BUT Dungey next weekend...And he's been VERY consistent this year (minus the injury) and on the podium in every race he's entered (overalls) and in all but one moto. I'll take that over moving Barcia up.

I agree with you 100%.... But every time Stewart is on the bike I anticipate him crashing just because of his record

Here is the thing with Barcia.
He is a great sand rider,we need that in Lommel.
He is aggressive also.
See,those 250F's are going to get crushed off the start in that deep sand against the 450's.
Barcia on a 250F in that stuff blasting his way through the pack slamming guys ect...would be epic to see.
The fans may hate him afterwards like in France, but oh well. Smile

As things stand at the moment, Dungey, Stewart and Baggett, with Barcia as alternate able to run either size bike.

Is any country other than France going to have three solid team members?

I am assuming France looks like Paulin, Pourcel and Musquin

You think DeSalle, Strijbos and Roelents or Van Hoerbeek is a better group? Arguable, I guess.

Dedycker. They all are really good sand riders. I don`t think France is that strong in sand.

Dungey and Stewart are the obvious choices. But Lites is close between Baggett and Barcia. Obviously Baggett is better but he doesn't normally get good starts and he screwed up big time last year at the MoN. Barcia normally gets great starts and is known as a good sand rider. Its close.

Dungey MX1
Bagget MX2
Alessi MX3 (and I thought I would never say that)

Stewart will just crash if he is on the MX3 bike
Barcia if something happens to Bagget or Alessi

I second this entire post. Only question is how good is Alessi in the sand. And I absolutely have nothing against Stewart and i like the "new" him with jokes and no excuses, but i'm just not sure if his confidence is there(we all know when his confidence is high he is next to unbeatalbe). And if its not then why not give a guy like Alessi a shot, who has really turned a corner of his own this year.

What about De Reuver...?
Think he will race for NED/Holland?
Or Brakke or Coldenhoff ?

Maybe like this...
Herlings MX1 (Put him on a 450 or 350)
Coldenhoff MX2 (He did ok at the Belgium GP in MX2 11th & 15th. Also did ok Valkenswaard 6th & 15th)
De Reuver MX3 (He is a good sand rider.)
(ALT - Brakke)

MXdN/MXoN is a bit of a different strategy with the mixed classes.
Those 3 might fair well as a team with decent starts.
You can also throw out 1 moto finish.

How about Dungey & Barcia on 450s. Bagget on 250? Is this possible?

Tony Alessi said that James should be picked over Alessi but, James said himself that if he keeps riding like he did this past weekend, Alessi deserves to go. I would like to see Stewart and Dungey together.

I'm sorry guys but Alessi just doesn't have the pace. I would rather send Barcia on a 450 than Alessi. And everyone stop dissing on Stewart. For God's sakes he might be the best sand rider we have!

De Reuver aint a solid rider anymore, he's a good sand rider indeed but he has been on the downside for a while now. And that's to bad...
Coldenhoff is a midpack runner, maybe he can peek at MXdN at put in a good result for the Netherlands. But i doubt it tbh...

It's to bad they only have 1 fast dude that can run at the front.

For Belgium:

Desalle, as soon as he finds his ryhtm he's damn fast. He lacks that bit of constant speed this year since he did allot less pre-races to stay healthy. Hopefully he can find his groove. (we'l see at Latvia)

DeDyker: Good sandrider and top 5 runner, now that he has the best material available he should do quite well at MXdN. (i sure hope he get's the 450sx for the event.....but since Everts is Belgian i'm quite sure he will get it.)

For the 250 i would pick Van Horebeek: Dude seems to go well, has 5 podiums this season. If he can hit the podium at the MxdN then Belgium is in a great position.

I'm going with:

Dungey
Stewart (if he is healthy)
Baggett

But I really don't know about the sand riding of Stewart, Baggett or Barcia and how that may change things. Also, if Stewart is not healthy, I would have no problem with Barcia on a 450.

There isn't that much to separate Baggett, Barcia, or Tomac. Depending on the day or the track, any of them can win a race.
Right now Baggett has the momentum. But that could change pretty fast.

I seriously doubt you are going to see two Lites riders, one of which on a 450. I'd bet money it will be two proven-consistent 450 riders and a Lites rider. Same as every year.

My bet;

Dungey, Wiemer (or a long shot Alessi), and Baggett.

Stewart is not at full speed and way too inconsistent for a winner take all one shot race.

Ahhh I didn't think of that. I think Barcia will have the spot then. The start is going to be REALLY important. We all know Baggett can come from the back but this is a different ball game.

Theyre picking Stewart if he's healthy. Dont worry abut the inconsistency thing, he falls he comes back to top 10 minimum. Weimer or alessi fall they come back to 20th. I know who i'd much rather have on my team. If he finishes the series out he'll be top 3 even though he missed a few rounds, he's that good.

Barcia's a better sand rider but if Baggett wins the title he's very unlucky if he doesnt get picked imo.
