Tyler Villopoto will be competing in the Canadian MX Nationals Round 1 on a Kawasaki 450F
for Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki. Tyler will be teamed up with Matt Goerke at Round 1
in Nanaimo, BC on June 3. We are planning on going up to watch Tyler in his first PRO Race.
Good luck TV161.Woohoo

If he keeps it on two wheels he should be an easy top 5, especially at that track.

Good luck to him!

Best of luck to him, the gene pool is strong!

But TV161 sounds like a really weak DirectTV satellite channel.... Like some fishing channel or Oprah crap.

I am pretty sure RV2 is already taken, maybe he should try for TV1 just for fun...Wink Even if it is a Canadian "1" that is a pretty good starting point!

So,I'm standing in line at sign up Saturday at Glen Helen. Start talking to a young guy about the new track at REM. I've been off for 3 months from surgery and he was there for the first time getting some testing in before going to Canada. He said his name was Tyler but not his last name. We chatted about moto for 15 minutes(long line) and I kinda guided him through the REM sign up rituals since I'm a regular. I told him to sign a free raffle ticket and throw it in the jar. I then see his last name. I started laughing. I said "Sh#t,I know who you are Tyler. I was just watching a video of you last night. Siiiiiick scrubs!" I actually said,"Siiiiiiiick scrubs." Tongue Anyway,it was really cool meeting him and the kid is awesome to watch ride. Seemed to me like a nice humble kid who loves to ride his bike and appreciates the chance to do what he loves. Good luck Tyler!

Yeah I thought the same thing, amazing he's like 21 or something and now just getting it together... I suppose we are just saturated with freaky fast 16 year olds...

Keast and medaglia, thus putting him top 5Wink In all seriousness I just hope to see Tyler make it through his first big pro race in one piece and ready to take on the next week, don't need to start this all off on the ground.

He was at REM tis weekend, He seems like a pretty nice guy, kind of shy. Tom White interviewed him at the riders meeting and he said that he was going to be racing up in Canada soon. On the track, he had really good style and good speed. I believe he went 1-2 and ended up 2nd to Tokarski for the day.

Thats T-Rae(thats what I call him) to a T. He is a great kid and finally just started believing in himself. I hope he
does well, but mostly I hope he just survives the first race. I know he will get to the show someday cause he just
loves to ride a dirt cicle and has those Villopoto genes.

That's what I hear, Frenchy has a very good reputation. Hope T-Rae can just keep it on 2 wheels,
that will be good enough for me.

That's really good news to hear uncle! I was wondering when he was going to make his pro debut. I think starting off in the Canadian Nationals is a great way to start a racing career. There are some fast dudes up north and a great place to get his feet wet and judge his speed. Good luck to Tyler , he sounds like a great kid.
