This SUCKS
Maybe it was just my "local cable provider", but the 9:30pm telecast was delayed 30 minutes.
So they could broadcast the entire cycling event that was scheduled for the hour prior. Even though it was clearly NOT a live event, since the sun was out (and it was in CA), they still could not manage to edit it to fit in the designated time slot???
So if you were the NBC Sports program director, and you have back to back tape delayed events to broadcast (the show aired prior to both was a sports talk show), how do you manage to screw up non-live events and have one run 30 minutes over?
Does the edit button not work in the broadcast booth? Or is MX just at the bottom of the priority list?
I feel bad for anyone who had set a DVR to record the NBC show, you would have missed the last 30 minutes. Oops.
2nd moto - Justin TV.....I got mine through (I think) Argentina....some country that starts with A.
Really, DC, I am Ok with a pay service. It was quite a bit of work to get the stream up.....I will be happy to pay for a clean feed. I would be happy to pay $49.95 for the season.
Pit Row
My Cox Cable - NBC Sports affiliate did the same thing. I gave up after twenty minutes and went to bed. I woke up later in the night and caught the end.
Sucks!
P.S. second moto's where pretty good.
Awesome TV package! sarcasm
i set my dvr to record an hour over, shot through the cycling garbage and watched the races.
MX isn't exactly the nfl in terms of public interest. i'm happy we have what we have to be honest.
It will get better, but we're the new kid on the block at NBC Sports and we will have to show them our loyal fans and following will tune it and watch and build an audience.
This is not like football, with two halves or four quarters and one score. This is a five-hour deal, with three classes and six motos. It's hard to get on one network for that long, but we're getting there. Supercross only lasts about two and a half hours and has two short main events. We have long motos, all day long. That affects the TV opportunities.
In the meantime, thanks for watching if you did. That was a great big crowd, some excellent racing, and it was a fun event to be a part of. The riders came through with some exceptional performances, with more to come.
