He looks like he is having a shit-ton of fun, which is the thing I would be most worried about.
My sentiments exactly.

Also he's running a PC pipe. I can't believe Yosh would be ok with that?

Didn't Reed have a similar situation before 2012 started? I recall a video of him riding at Milestone with a Yoshi pipe when he was sponsored by PC...

U guys really think that's an old video he and Redbull put out? Dry If he's doing outdoors which he claims for the 2012, what he says makes sense, but sure he's a bit off with the no of years on the yamaha I agree. But he hit his head a couple of times remember!Grinning

This was just posted on transworlds facebook

Eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed that the bike James Stewart rode in the photos and video released on JS7.com earlier today boasted a black frame and a Pro Circuit pipe. Last winter, when James was a free agent, he bought several bikes (including that RM-Z), and tested them all. The bike with the black frame was actually built by James' old race team and shipped to Florida. It was bone stock, save for the black powdercoated frame, PC pipe and a stiffer shock. Later on, James actually had a factory RM-Z450 race bike to test on, complete with a Yoshimura exhaust and all the works goodies. This photo was snapped in October, before any contracts were signed.

I'm even more confused now? I don't get why he, Redbull and Zook would spit out old material?

Explains why he he signed with JGR so late. Had all his ducks in a row with Suzuki, then gets courted by JGR at the last second and changes his mind.

Also, I could tell by his facial expressions during A1 interviews that he wasn't confident about his YZ450f, despite all the buzz and hype of the team's resources in getting the YZ450f to work. He probably knew at that point he had made the wrong decision.

Because he`s too busy testing to make a new one.

Ok that nac-nac was sick at the end.

Outdoors just got real interesting.

lol. how many people would even hit those jumps. with or without "bumps"?
yea, lets send him out to a super rough and rutted track for his first ride so he can get hurt before the season starts.

What on the way to 24 out of 24 wins you mean?
You don't have a perfect season without handling the bumps.

granted that's his home track and it's not all choppy like unadilla for the 2nd 250 moto but as long as his fitness is up to par and they keep honing the bike in for the first few rounds for him- he's going to be a problem for the rest of the class.

He's not going to all of a sudden forget how to ride motocross.

---

and to the haters- how lame would this mx season be if he didn't show up? alessi shows a few flashes of brilliance while dungey has the title locked up by round fucking 6.

I hope he does well, but i think he will crash and get hurt trying to run RD5 pace for the entire moto.

I noticed a few "mouth piece grabs" in there. He used to do that all the time on the Kawi, and mentioned in interviews that it's just a habit he has when he feels really good (can't find the video of the interview ). Don't think I've ever seen him do that on the '10-12 Yamaha. Could be wrong though.

Looks like non-factory suspension to me.

James riding at speed through a rough track with stock suspension is probly not a good idea.

Glad to see him in for the outdoors... hope he stays healthy and happy.

I'm a Stewart fan, but I remember how good he looked riding around at home on the JGR Yammie. I'll save my excitement for when I see it with a loaded gate. He's racing for his legacy now.

That is exactly what i said LC...still fully stoked to see him outdoors, no matter what he is riding!

That bike sure is sexy though, they have been my fav factory bikes for years now.

To me he looks way more comfortable on the Suzuki, that looks like the Stewart dominating on a 2 stroke compared to how he's ridden recently.

As a fan, I don't think I'm being shit on if he doesn't race outdoors, but I am excited to see him at Red Bud this year.
