Eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed that the bike James Stewart rode in the photos and video released on JS7.com earlier today boasted a black frame and a Pro Circuit pipe. Last winter, when James was a free agent, he bought several bikes (including that RM-Z), and tested them all. The bike with the black frame was actually built by James' old race team and shipped to Florida. It was bone stock, save for the black powdercoated frame, PC pipe and a stiffer shock. Later on, James actually had a factory RM-Z450 race bike to test on, complete with a Yoshimura exhaust and all the works goodies. This photo was snapped in October, before any contracts were signed.
Also, I could tell by his facial expressions during A1 interviews that he wasn't confident about his YZ450f, despite all the buzz and hype of the team's resources in getting the YZ450f to work. He probably knew at that point he had made the wrong decision.
Outdoors just got real interesting.
Pit Row
yea, lets send him out to a super rough and rutted track for his first ride so he can get hurt before the season starts.
You don't have a perfect season without handling the bumps.
He's not going to all of a sudden forget how to ride motocross.

and to the haters- how lame would this mx season be if he didn't show up? alessi shows a few flashes of brilliance while dungey has the title locked up by round fucking 6.
James riding at speed through a rough track with stock suspension is probly not a good idea.
Glad to see him in for the outdoors... hope he stays healthy and happy.
That bike sure is sexy though, they have been my fav factory bikes for years now.
As a fan, I don't think I'm being shit on if he doesn't race outdoors, but I am excited to see him at Red Bud this year.
