Who is your favorite rider and why?

Funny you should mention Myerscough but back in the day when I thought I wanted or could race moto for a living I was at practice at saddleback park. I forget if it was sat or sun but it was the day when they let all of the classes practice together and as I am coming down one of the back hills on the track (at maximum speed), Myerscough fly's by at such speed I knew there was no way it was going to work out. It was a major eye opener. Damn that guy.

I would have to say chad reed. I really admire him starting his own race team and at the age of 30 he is still one of the fastes riders in the world. I also like how he left his home country of Australian at the young age of 18 to chase his dreams. I believe that he is 1 of very few non - americans to win a 250cc AMA supercross title ( him and bayle ?? ) , which is awesome and he has one of the coolest styles out. Plus, he can smash a set of supercross whoops like a boss ......

My favourite rider ever? Ricky Carmichael. I've had the pleasure of meeting him, and he was great, really cool and down to earth, and obviously his on track achievements speak for themself.

Out of the current riders, I really have three:

Dean Wilson - Just, because he seems cool off the track, and of course he's British which helps
Chad Reed - Really admire how he started his own team from scratch, and constantly silences doubters by stepping up his game.
Ken Roczen - Same as Wilson really, seems like a really cool guy, and i've followed his career forever. I'm also a big fan of his style on the bike.

Travis Pastrana - Guy's just a multi talented bad ass but most of all he's not a poser.

Chad Reed - Seems like the ideal professional to me, wont sugar coat shit & does what he has too to make it happen.

Robbie Reynard, his riding style is perfect. He seems super nice too.

Same for me on both counts, both legends.

C.Pourcel, the best style ever. Met him at MXDN in France last year, cool guy too.

Guy Cooper, first person to jump a triple, totally fearless and humble guy.

Jean Michel Bayle for how he conquered America, his style and how he left on top to pursue a dream of racing

Old days was Hannah then RJ with RJ getting my ultimate nod based on just plain being a bad ass and kicking ass at the muddy ass Unadilla Des Nations. My new guy is Bam Bam because he is a bit crazy and rides like a combo of Magoo, Hannah and RJ... he is not out there to make friends nor to take second place!

Favorite of all time was Jeff Ward...I started riding Kawasakis when i was 4 and he was their premier rider. I would still consider him my favorite all time due to his success through determination.

Jeff Emig is a very close 2nd. For a time I was pretty bitter towards the sport and had been away from it for 4-5 years. Even after i graduated college and went to work at a successful dealership I still wasn't too pumped on it until Jeffro moved over to Kawasaki...his charisma brought me back in a big way. Today I'm still in the industry and riding more than ever...it's even hard to drive down the road and not day dream that approaches are table tops and over-passes look similar to Laracco's Leap.

My favorite current rider, and third on my all-time lis is James Stewart. I've enjoyed his charisma since he was on a 125. I also admire the fact through all the years of the speculation and the shit storm that the message boards churn up he does a great job of not jumping into the conversation and he's content with letting truth play out on its' own. Saying nothing is not necessiarily what a lot of people want to hear.

Jeff Stanton, not the most talented but the best work ethic. Watched him race Pontiac,Unadilla,Red Bud and Tampa SX. Met him in Florida at Croom Motorcycle Area in 93 when he was #1 in SX and MX. I really like his tell it like it is attitude. Off the current stars, Chad Reed and Justin Brayton impress me as well.

For me as far as riding style...J-Law

I am my favorite rider.......

I can't believe no one has mentioned MC yet. He set the standard for being cool, having the best gear, bike, a signature trick, and dominance. He defined an era.

Favorite rider of all time is Ricky Carmichael. Met him once at LL and we talked for a bit before most people even knew he was there.. Really a good guy.

Right now i have like 3 riders.
1) K-dub. The guy just loves the sport, amazing style and still showin us younger guys how to get it done.. Simply amazing
2) Trey Canard He is funny off the track and has a good head on his shoulders, just wish he could stay healthy
3) Dean Wilson, his accent, his interviews, all make him seem very funny and down to earth.

This is true.. I didnt like him but i surely didnt hate him. But i didnt get into the sport until late 90's. Surprised no one has mentioned him.. Maybe he made it look too easy

#1 - La Rocco - No flash, no drama, hard worker, just did his work and let the results show!

#3 - KDub - SMOOOOOOTH and great for any sport he would be involved with!

I am a fan of the sport. Too many great riders to have just one favorite.

I gotta say 222 is the guy I love to watch most,especially when he's putting on a charge like he sometimes does at the end of a Moto

All Time: Broc Glover - Trained hard, won six titles - came within a hair of the 7th title (1985 Supercross), stylish JT gear, etc. Won titles and races on production based Yamaha's when he was up againt the mighty Works Honda's.

Current: Josh Grant - Proven race winner, fast but has suffered alot of injuries. I like that he has fought back and seems to have the right attitude again. That won my vote.

DD he is a PA shredder and seems like he is down to earth...throwing the horns on the podium/awesome NO pic.
