He was passing people on a 144 and that's not because his bike had more power than any of those 250fs of which many are not legal. That's bad ass and I thought he had no chance of making that main.

Awesome ride Ricky... you've given yourself a huge opportunity by carrying the two-stroke flag for many-a motocross faithful. Keep up the good work and please get out there again before the end of the season. If everything comes together and you can make it to the main with a good result, you will undoubtedly be the motocross people's champ of the decade.

Here is my question for another SX assault. Suspension.....Daytona is more of a MX set up but if you want to go fast you must have SX suspension.

He's got it covered, should have the motor work covered also.

No, Daytona was a 1 race deal. Then I had plans to go to California for the Ronnie Renner redbull freeride tour. It ends the weekend before new Orleans. That's the reason I was looking at new Orleans or possibly Vegas..

We need to make this happen......out doors too?

serious question .... and something I have always wondered.... is free style suspension set up like SX setup?

What do you need for your bike? We want to help. Email me at josh@racesthilaire.com or sthilairemx@metrocast.net

Two strokes will be a huge part of keeping out favorite sport alive at this point. The days of a 15 year old kid saving up enough money to buy a bike and start riding are over. At over $7000 for a 250f, and over $500 for a shop like us to rebuild a 4-stroke top end not including valves, the base of our rider pyramid is crumbling.

I will do whatever I can to help you Ricky! Your ride at Daytona was incredible to say the least.

Vegas tends to be a dry hard pack blue groove track. I'm not so sure it would be freindly to a 2 stroke... but if anybody can do it, RR can.

a lot of people thought a overly muddy track wouldn't suit a 2 stroke either..:D

Man, it's amazing the attention and excitement generated over this. Yamaha and KTM are simply missing out for not running a facotry sponsored 2-stroke team. It's just plain stupid. Ricky has already become a celebrity, that can't be ignored.

It didn't lol. I blew the dang thing up haha. But I know what you meant. One of the Pc mechanics actually said "at least you don't have to worry about your bike blowing up in this stuff"

I think RIcky will be a real threat indoors. The hardpack won't matter.

I don't think it was the mud, I personally think one of the anti-2 stroke guys sabotaged your bike. There's no way in hell they are going to allow these so called 2-strokes come in and compete with the 4-strokes. Tongue

its to bad that a nice 180 degree turn is very rare indoors these days, nothing like brake sliding and whipping around a 2 stroke in a turn and then exploding out

I also think he should run the one 4 four instead of the other. He will still be outgunned but at least get every advantage you can.

No, but no matter how you slice it, he was cheating.

And no matter how you slice it, your a douchebag. Are you still all pissed off that Ricky was killing it on a way under powered yz 144 in the mud at Daytona and beating the four strokes? I'm pretty sure that right before his bike let go, he was on Durham who is on a pc "250" go whine somewhere else
I laughed at MotoChief Dos post.

Renner broke a rule. Everyone on a 250F was cheating.

Want to give the Renner's a thank you for keeping vitalmx in the loop. My birthday was on 3/11 and this was a hell of a gift. I am going to watch the youtube again. Please hit Vegas and NOLA on the 125cc.
