No, but no matter how you slice it, he was cheating.

And no matter how you slice it, your a douchebag. Are you still all pissed off that Ricky was killing it on a way under powered yz 144 in the mud at Daytona and beating the four strokes? I'm pretty sure that right before his bike let go, he was on Durham who is on a pc "250" go whine somewhere else

He's a hell of a rider, but I wonder how the night had went if he was on one of those 250f scooters

No matter how you slice it Ricky is a winner and motochief is a loser. Losers like to take shots at a winner because it makes them feel better about their sad situation. You just have to feel sorry for him. Smile

Great job this weekend and I hope you all try it again.

I am not one of those "Two Stroke Guy's" but if he was in position to qualify when his bike took a dive. He was hauling ass.

Good for him.

What kind of puss would complain about a kid riding a 125, 144, 153 or 167cc four year oldtwo stroke against a field of current year highly modified 250, 262, 270, 280, 290 and probably 302cc fuel injected four strokes? Again, what kind of puss would it take?

Exactly. I love how people are crying about the fact that it was a 144.

Renner - you are a dead set gun, and made a lot of people smile watching you on that 2-banger. Come back next week on a 167 and get into that main! Great work!

I rode a 144. Settled, no twitter or rumors necessary.
Awesome! In my eyes, admitting that is made this effort even better!

1. Riding a smoker and give it to the avid supporters........... Check.
2. Using a 144, admitting it, and by doing that poke the decision makers who killed the smokers........ Check.
3. Me like.... Check.

So what will it take for you to try another round?

Was there enough in Paypal donations to give you some gas money and hit the road?

FYI Renner and Ryan. You have no Idea how many people were pulling for you this past weekend. You gave a lot of people something to cheer for. I know I and a lot of other people were more concerned with practice(to see if you guys made the night show) and where you were in the heats(which you both were doing awesome before your issues). And for that Mister 2 stroke rider man! I Salute You!

For what it's worth- the track announcer on the PA was talking about Ricky on the YZ125- unfortunately it was actually Ryan Smith on the YZ250 at the time, as it was during the 450 LCQ I believe- but at least SOMEBODY mentioned it, at least to the rest of the motoheads hangin in the rain... Awesome job, Ricky! I think New Orleans is a great idea, and will throw in some $ to support the adventure.

Matter of fact, I going to start a thread so we can get it going! (Can I get a stickie?)

Mad props to both of those guys for the effort and the riding. It's about time someone decided to stir the pot a little and it seems to have garnered a bit of attention.

At this point with the attention you've gotten you may be able to get some shop to help you out. Repair the bike, get it ready for the next week and perhaps send some extra parts with you in case something breaks again.
Perhaps someone can get Eric Gorr interested in rushing a couple 144 cylinders?

The simple answer to this question is, MotoChief.

I know for a fact that back in the 125 days .... a large % were not racing a 125. I would not bet against a large % are still cheating on the 250's now.

Now.....If Yamaha would up the 125 to a production copy of this and Yamaha, KTM & TM homologate them ........ and AMA would change the CC to 150 .........
