Spotted this post over on Mototalk. Looks like the "old boys" got the holeshot on this breaking story over the Vital pups!Wink Laughing

Dear friends and colleagues,

Effective today I am resigning my position as CEO of the NEW JT Racing.

As founder and team leader of the JT Racing project over the past 3-plus years, I am blessed to have had the opportunity to accomplish my dream of successfully ushering an iconic American brand's rebirth back into the global marketplace.

Before opening new chapters in both my personal and professional life I wish to say "Thank You" to all those who helped bring my dream to life: the JT Racing Legends, my design team, the manufacturers, members of the media and especially to John and Rita Gregory who believed in me.

Lastly, I pass the baton to Gene Gershman who has been appointed as JT Racing's president I will miss you all.

David Dray

Anyone know the back story on this????????????

Whole thing seems fishy to me! Although I would like to see some later 90s JT gear.

Vision is a big part of running a company. Ideas that fit in with the vibe of your brand are a big part of running a company. Getting buy-in from your employees on the course that you set are a big part of running a company.

That's all I have to say about that.

TBTeam, I'll bet it is a good story.

BTW, what did David Dray do before this? And who funded the JT relaunch? Who owns it?

Seems like he was hired to come in and oversee the start up and had no intentions of staying on. He did the same thing with Von Dutch and Ed Hardy correct? I spoke with them at the Indy show and they are full steam ahead. The all Black/Neon gear look's awesome by the way....

It's strange; I didn't like JT in the '80s, but I like it more now. It'sa nostalgia thing for me I guess.

I'm still more interested in wearing "new" gear these days though.

Same for me...I'd personally like to see answer do a limited run of white pants with the neon answer triangles on them, that would be sweet Smile

Big deal, there are people out there who specialize in managing start ups...once its up and running, they split.
