4th last year, and racing a Barcia with a fat "1" on his bike? I don't think so scooter. And Barcia was yarding quite a few of the 450 elite on Canard's bike this summer. The kid is no joke.

you say that...yet where was barcia on 250 outdoors? getting shit on by baggett, wilson and rattray. i don't doubt his speed but if you thought he was setting the world on fire during his brief stint on the 450 imagine where wilson and baggett would be when they get on the 450 full time.
Difference is that Barcia gets good starts. He didn't do well in the 250s outdoors but he did get a lot of holeshots (like he did in SX), which as we all know is key in SX and a 15 lap main. If Roczen or Baggett can get good starts, then I think they will give Barcia a hard time. Should be a good series.

Nope. No work ethic, not serious enough, and is on the ground too often. 5-8 guy. Maybe sneak a podium if others have trouble.

Barcia has this uncanny ability to make passes in SX turns, above almost any other professional rider. He makes passes in places where you'd never even attempt. In the flat spot, in the bottom of the bowl turn. It's just extremely entertaining to watch. I don't really have favorites anymore, but I like having a good time at 10:30PM EST.

no work ethic? i guess you've seen him train since he has some support this year right? Matt, Nick Myers and Lance Vincen are well prepared for East Coast.

I'm a District 34 fan so I'm going with Barcia. It should be a great sx series and it's not going to be a cake walk for anyone. Roczen and Baggett are clear contenders too but I'm also impressed with Warton and Bogle. There's 8 riders that could win on any race day.

I"m going way out on a limb here and gonna pick Malcom to win the title. He got great starts last year and this years bike is way better. He can muscle his way around if needed and the kid is hungry, with nothing to loose.
You're nuts. Nuts, I tell ya! Where did he pick up the consistency for a title? Not from big brother. Anyway, I do want to see him out front.

Also nuts is anyone not taking Baggett seriously. He did fall apart three rounds in a row last year--Jacksonville (DNQ), Toronto, Dallas--but the rest of the rounds he was matching the top guys in lap times, including his ass-kicking wins at Daytona and Vegas. All the speed and confidence he gained outdoors should ensure that he's up front in 2012.

Roczen...I don't know. He'll be much improved, no doubt, and FAST, but will he be right there in Vegas? Unsure 2 da maXx.

Here's a crazy bit of info: Barcia only had ONE fastest lap last year(!!!). How is that possible?! He was injured, but still...he dominated. He was so consistently awesome that I can definitely see him doing it again.

p.s. Interestingly, Wilson held fast laps over Barcia at several rounds last year, and this year, Wilson, even after butt-stomping fools all summer, is getting reamed by Tomac. TOMAC IS GAAAAAAAAWD!!

I just said he belongs on the list, didn't call him the champ. But you're right, he hasn't touched a SX track or practiced with his teamates, or tested SX with his team or ride at TC's track, or train with a former factory rider, hell, he probably doesn't even have SX suspension, Bogle and SX are like oil and water, my bad...............My sincere apology to you oh wise one.
i'm a betting man. are you?

Agree. Like him or not, Barcia is fun to watch. My pick would be Barcia as the favorite going in. But wouldn't be surprised if Baggett or Roczen take it either. Would be cool to see Malcom and some of the others mentioned do well too.

Baggett is going to be a beast! I see some battles between him, Bambam and K-roc. Oh, it will be very very good.

Well said. Plenty of people had Musquin and Wilson as the toast of the West with no mention of Tomac and now it looks the same with Roczen vs. Barcia and no mention of Baggett. I think Baggett just might prove to be to the East what Tomac has been to the West, and I see them railing outdoors when the time comes.

Austin Politelli will be racing the East Coast. If all goes well, I think he can mix up the results in the top 10 or maybe top 5 for his rookie year.

Uhhhh? I aint afraid to gamble! A wager was made, you need to check yourself and this post, give me one example of (runs and ducks). I had a G on the black jack table fukin around at Hard Rock while you and Stevie were playing patty cake on your 1st beer, but you are correct, I'm more of a drinker than a gambler only cuz there is no casino in my living room. I challenge you to a duel at either if you think you got game. Me and Bronson got beer on the line so back up yo.

He did tear it up the Columbus AX this Dec. against Gibson, Skaggs and other AX guys. Afraid this is a whole nother level (or 2).

Wifey and I joked when we heard the PA announcer that Shaun White can ride a dirtbike too, until I read his jersey in the pits.

Many folks pointing out the obvious 3 (bag, bar, rok). If those 3 stay healthy, I'd be surprised if anyone else gets a win. But there is a long list of top 5 guys when there are only 2 slots behind the fast 3. Anyone of these guys could podium with bad luck or even just a bad start from one of the fast 3.

Darryn Durham - I think ore of an outdoor guy but he's on a PC bike
K. Cunningham
Kyle Peters - rookie , who knows
B. Wharton - won before
J. Bogle - rookie, who knows
J. Decotis - better SX then MX and Gieco (once he is 100%)
M. Stewart - think he had a couple 4ths as a rookie
Matt Lemoine - ran in the top 5 a lot more than he finished in the top 5

and even honorable mention...
