Some changes that I would love to take place in SX.

1. the 250 class goes to a full 17 race season. The teams and budgets make it no longer practical for privateers to make a solid showing on a regular basis. No pointing out. Allow 250 specialists to ride in the 250 class. If you can move up move up.
2. expand the gate to 22 riders. There are more privateer teams, more sponsors, and more solid riders racing than at any other time. More exposure in the main event will keep more teams and sponsorship $$ around. Who is bennefitting with a couple of solid riders watching from the stands each week?
3. add a true regional series for privateers complete with a $15,000 claim rule on the bikes. win the series-move up. run all the qualifiers during the day and just run final race in the evening...maybe make it a dash for cash like in the AX series.

#3 seems like the existing arenacross series, except noone bumps up to the big show. It was great to see Lange a few years ago with the PC ride, and Brayton now. Products of the arenacross series that took that next step.

Make the mains longer... 20 laps for 250f class and 25 for the 450 main.

8 lap heat races for 250fs and 10 laps 450 heats.

Bring back the semis.

The value for money is terrible atm at a supercross imo.

You get to see the top guys on track way more in a motocross race. They need to get the riders on the track more often or for longer.

Have 125 two stroke main event for the schoolboys.

And . . .

Remove the 2-stroke displacement rules. 250-450 either stroke.

mixing newkawboy and mcreads idea. Id like a regional (north, south, east, west) 125 class for age group 15-18. 10 lap main event at night, $15,000 claiming rule, and no more then 2 years max before being bumped up

20+2 for the Mains

Semis.

Die lites and sx nomenclatures.

SX1 and SX2 seems good enough. MX1 and MX2 for outdoors.

Increase purse for 250's. I mean really...REALLY?

Yes to burn1986.....who does it hurt?

On your list.

1. no
2. yes
3. no

Matthes, Weege, Ping, Watson and DC have all talked about #1. The issue with doing that is this... right now Lights Teams hire 4 riders, 2 per coast (this is about standard). If the series goes to all 17 rounds for lights, then they will only hire 2 people. So in essence, you are actually suggesting lowing the number of rides available.

Why don't they have 22 riders on the main? There is no reason for this not to be included.

This has probably been discussed before but I'd like to hear a valid reason why the riders can't have "in-helmet" communications. So maybe they could get a heads-up when they've snagged a tuff block cover or banner or "look out" ...before they re-enter the track. I think the safety reason would out weigh the "unfair" advantage angle.

I would pipe the Honey Badger narration into my competitions radio frequency.

Yeah there are few things that would be safer than a mechanic screaming into a riders ear of pending doom right as he's about to launch a 90 foot triple in the middle of first lap traffic.. Fixing the fucking tough blocks would have prevented both situations you're going for there not to mention the 10 other times we seen tough blocks knocked out on to the racing surface in Oakland.. There were 3 or 4 shots during the broadcast of the 450 race alone where you seen a glimpse of a track worker pulling a tough block back in place and that just seems stupid to me. I doubt if there was a space between the blocks that Dungey would make a hard left going down a straight because he got confused by the gap..

Timed 22 bike mains just seems like a ridiculously simple place to start.. I'm all for the semi's and I think that would only add to the entertainment of the show as well.

A 17 race 250 SX season would create opportunity for smaller teams to gain better riders which = better sponsors and be more competitive.

These teams seem fairly professional so I doubt anyone would be screaming or otherwise distracting their riders. I'm not saying that there isn't a safer way to line the track boundaries....just that safety info might help out in certain situations. I'm guessing that a rider who can calmly let go of the bars to pull a tear off over a huge triple could handle a voice telling him there's a downed rider over the next jump.

Pay them all 1 million dollars to just show up...and make the promoter pay their health insurance.

I agree with the 20 min + 2 lap mains.
I think they could just eliminate about half of the "Tough Blocks" (Although sponsors might not like that)
Bring back the hot lap. Opening ceremonies is really lacking without them.
In helmet comm if done right could be a good for safety and help the riders,
They should NEVER allow the riders on the track without helmets during opening ceremonies. Just a bad example for kids.
Eliminate different 2 stroke/ 4 stroke displacement rules let riders ride 250 2 strokes in 250 class - any good reason why not?
Move the podium somewhere where fans can see it. It's always in a place that's really hard to see from the stands.

less on-off table-top sections
more 180 degree corners = more rhythm/whoops/jumping lanes = better racing
less sand sections
more tits and ass

Over-Under's a requirement for every track
Track goes up into stadium seating (like Pontiac SX back in the 1980's).....stadium seats aren't filled anyways!
NO SAND
Double bermed corners leading to jump options
The winner of the race drinks a Coors after the race because they are the title sponsor............not Monster!
