Hey everyone I need some thoughts here. I am debating between thor or fox gear for the upcoming season. Both will be priced the same for me so cost is not an issue. What does everyone think of the look of each company and the quality of each company. I'm right on the fence and cant make up my mind.

If you grip your bike tight in the legs or have knee braces... neither. Look at some of the other brands out there, tons to choose from beyond fox & thor. Wish Socal/Decal still made gear... I don't know what kind of leather they used inside the knees, but man it was indestructible! It fit great too. With that said, I'm pretty happy with my one industries gear as of late (with the exception of the excess room in the ass area and the tendency for the gear to slide down my butt a little). MHO, take it for what it's worth.

I have had a few pairs of Thor gear and the buckle broke on all the pants with only a few rides. A zipper on one pair didn't last long either... Last time i had Fox gear was back in 97. I still have the pants (i don't wear them) and the buckle and zipper still work. So between the two that you mentioned i would pick Fox. MSR is really good, That's what i have now.

New Thor is hideous so I would say Fox or Shift.

troy lee designs, nuff said.

out of those two though the fox is much more comfortable and holds up better, the thor is lame, i had a bunch of core gear and it was garbage, MSR/Answer is notorious for patches ripping off and buckles breaking.I hate that fox is the main stream squid ill buy fox cuz its cool but the quality is really nice and the gear is comfortable. if you havent had TLD Wink

We got in some new Fly stuff today and it seems really nice this year, I sell it all and have seen issues of some sort with every brand for different riders. So I'd say just pick the one you like the best and try it out because everyone is going to give you a different opinion!

The one that fit best?
I've had gear from a few different companies and the pants all fit or are sized differently.
TLD is the most comfortable for me followed by Thor and Shift. Fly is odd sized 34 too tight, 36 too big. MSR must have been designed for plumbers because the back isn't high enough, at least the ones I tried.

They are both overpriced.
All the gear is overpriced!! It is unreal the money these gear manufacturers make selling gear at full retail.

Yeah im not sure if i can do shift. I got some pretty decent discounts offered to me for thor and fox so they will be pretty much the same price. I'll have to ask if shift was included
