But those pirelli tires SUCK. It was getting slick and they were not biting.

Dunlops would have won the race.

Now start your bashing.

That didn't take as long as I thought it would.

Pirellis seemed to do fine in qualifying.

I can never tell whether these are troll threads or not...

If they were not hooking up it's JGR's own fault; should have figured out what they needed in the months of preparation they had.

Hey moron, can you read ? Did I say JS7 said it ? It's always a riot to see all the fanginas come up with all the excuses for him and get their panties in a wad.

It may not be as far fetched as it may seem. Something was up last night, that's for sure. I don't know if it was him, or the bike, but something was up. That's is just MHO. Whatever it was he will need to get it fixed very soon if he wants to get ib the title hunt because RV isn't going to wait for him.

I don't think anything was wrong with his tires, or his bike for that matter........... it was him. He was riding great in practice, rode great in his heat race, but froze up in the Main. I think it was just the pressure, and the rust from not racing for 6 months+,
Then once he got a bad start, he was frustrated on top of all that. He will be back in form after a few rounds.

In the mean time, Villopoto rode friggin AMAZING!! He is focused, dialed in, and he is on the most badass Supercross bike ever created IMO That package is going to be hard to beat.

He looked tired and unprepared from my tv screen. RV, Reed and Dungey know the only way to beat him is to be better prepared in all aspects of the game. No way could any of them beat him if it was based on balls alone. He's been out too long and has work to do. RV is where he wants to be and has momentun and confidence on his side. Will be interesting in the next few weeks.

Exactly. Can't be a part timer any more against these guys. The whole SX only thing is done.

He started fine... RV got an amazing start and was gone after the first turn. The old James would've moved into second fairly quick, and possibly got near Villo, but he just never got going, and it was weird to see that honestly.

The front tire he had last night was similar to the one in the video, knobs on the side more than any tire I've ever seen. What's gonna happen in ruts with that thing?

He was about 8th/9th into the first turn, and thats a good start?

I agree that once he'd found his way into about 4/5th it looked as though he realised the game was already up.. It didnt look as though he was really trying, but when he got a sniff of Dungey it seemed to re-ignight the fire. Even more so when he was chasing Reed, which resulted in the crash.

It was all James. He cracks in high pressure situations unlike RV, Dungey, and Reed.

In the past that start would have gotten him 2nd place at the very least, something is either wrong with Stewart, or very right with Villo, or both, imo.

No, I don't think anyone is angry... Sad, yes! I cried myself to sleep Smile

His starts did blow donkey. Looked like he was shot out of a turtle cannon!

Is he using the "start" button like the honda/kawi's? If he isn't looks like he could use one.

Jeez, one race and he's out? I am not at all a JS fan but I know you can't count him out. He hasn't tested himself or his tires or his bike in a real race. If you all recall, Reed washed out and so did Dungey. Villo and Kawi are just on their game right now. He has all the momentum and confidence going now.

I don't think anyone is saying he's out. He is one of the 5 riders with a shot of winning every week, that's it. No more, no less. Not the FMOTP.

In the 70's we had a Barrum front knob that wrapped around. That thing wouldn't stay in a rut, although it was far more aggressive than the one James appeared to be fighting. I'm not saying it didn't work but It's obvious he wasn't comfortable and most everyone can agree if James is comfortable he's going to be up front in the mix. He works the front of a bike hard and that's got to be the toughest style to set up for. With changing conditions last night, only testing in Florida prior and with soo many choices of tires I bet they got it wrong and he lost his confidence. So James backed 'er down to stay healthy and fight another night. That showed maturity for a championship brawl and not a race win.

James/JGR have their work cut out for them if they want to finish the series in second, let alone trying to match up with RV's winning formula.

any one has pics of JS's bike in the last practice (the one he suddenly, magically, dropped a very fast lap time)?
