MSRP of $7499 for a 450?! Holy cow...these things are just about the same price as a street bike. WTF?!

Damn...some of our greatest riders graced the pegs of the Suzuki RM250, and it's gone like that!

(Tony DiStefano, Roger DeCoster, Kent Howerton, Bob Hannah, Darryl Shultz, Travis Pastrana, Ricky Carmichael, Greg Albertyn, Danny LaPorte, Johnny O, Sebastian Tortelli, Jeremy McGrath*)

What justify a 450F to be $1200 more than a 250F? Well, in the zook's case it might easier cause of the efi and aluminum tank but for the other brand???

It's a big price difference for bikes that these days, share most of the components expect the engine and the suspension internals...

Sorry, man...there's no '09 RM250. Does it make a return in the future? I wouldn't hold my breath.

That is a lot of dough to kick down for something you are just gonna cartwheel down the track in the first month.

First month? If that thing made it three rides without me throwing it away like a used candy wrapper, it would be a miracle.

Unless they still have the RM85 available when my son's big enough, I can now scratch Suzuki off the list of manufacturers that have a product I'd buy. It's down to pumpkins and blueberries only.

Cant you just buy a 250 smoker from Canada have it shipped? They still make them just not here in the US.. Next year bikes will probably be $7700 and $8k otd.. The rmz450 is a bad machine and one of the few that allow dealerships to have that extended warranty on them.. Would be nice since bike prices are soaring that they start having extended warranty or let you insure them.. My 05 rmz had 3 year warranty I think it was a couple hundred bucks but well worth it since the crank went out.

We got one three weeks ago and my kid loves it. No 4 stroke bog, starts easy and handles great. I still think it's too much bike for the average guy but what do I know I was shaking for an hour after I rode it is was so damn fast.

Had to price it up to offset the cost of all those broken cases they had this year.

My brother Tyler (who has been a die hard RM 2 stroker the past 3 years) is bummed about this. He rips on the RM250 now and is going to LL for MX Lites B Mod.

Suzuki is taking orders this week for the RM85, RM-Z250 and 450.

I caught a little rumor that Mr Mel asked the reps(during the meeting to take 09 orders) how many RM250s that they thought that they would be able to sell to their dealers. So the thing may not be completely dead. But you had better hope the "AMA" strong area dealers have been screaming for them. Cause I know in some districts the reps and dealers could care less about an RM250.
