**Press Release - Blake Baggett Launches Official Merchandise

Edited Date/Time 1/24/2012 9:43am
Hey everyone,

I have launched my first line of official Blake Baggett merchandise that is now available online at blakebaggett.com. Here is the official press release:

Blake Baggett Launches Official Merchandise
Available in time for Christmas and 2012 Supercross

Carlsbad, CA December 8, 2011 – Blake Baggett announces the launch of his official merchandise available before Christmas and in time for the first round of AMA Supercross.

Recognized as one of the fastest riders in the world, Blake Baggett prepares for the 2012 Supercross season where he will be racing the #12 KX250F for Mitch Payton’s Pro Circuit Monster Kawasaki team. After completing a successful 2011 season by being a part of the winning Motocross of Nations team for the USA, Blake’s fans demanded merchandise of their favorite rider.

“I wanted to create a line of products for all of my fans so they could show their support whether or not they are at the races. Everything was created so it can be causally worn anywhere and it doesn’t just have to be worn on race days. I look forward to seeing my fans wear what we have created and will be adding to the line throughout the year. We have put a lot of thought and hard work into having the line reflect my own style.”

Get your Blake Baggett merchandise today, available online at www.blakebaggett.com in time for round 1 of Supercross in Anaheim, California and ready for a race near you.

To stay up to date on all Blake Baggett news, follow him on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/blakebaggettbb, Twitter @blakebaggettbb, and online at www.blakebaggett.com.

Thanks for all of your support!

This is actually something our sport has lagged behind in and, you must take the opportunities at hand.

Long ago, we should have had open pits and our riders should have been able to market their own T-shirts, hats, etc.

from the pits or vendors row, Think how many zillion RC #4 T shirts the GOAT would have sold,

Riders merchandising themselves - " Their BRAND", is long overdue.

Go big Blake Baggett. And please, no cross-jumping.

Bears?

I agree with Jeffro... If he can make some extra cash selling some shirts, then more power too him. He rode well this year, and opened a lot of eyes.

Good for Blake!
My only suggestion is to list the merchandise prices on the website, not just the shopping cart.

Every driver in every upper NASCAR series has merchandise, every guy in the field at any SX should be able to sell merchandise. Guess the elephants don't have their own why should the riders right.

There's a time to give people shit, and a time to say good luck. Know the difference.

It seems so obvious, I'm surprised more riders don't do it.

I do think it's a good idea and good on Blake for doing it. Hope he continues to perform as well as he has and that he ramps up demand for said products. That said, my moto dollars probably stay home on this one. Although a stuffed chupacabra would be tempting.

Feld holds the right to merchandise sales at their events. Plain and simple, the riders aren't allowed to sell their own merchandise at the races.

I love this idea, and initiative. More teams/riders need to step up to the plate and do the same.

Since selling products like this is a violation to the AMA Pro Racing riders contract I suspect this is not officially from Blake but someone ripping his name off.

He will loose his pro license.

agree but every pro rider signs over the rights to their own likeness by signing the Pro card application.

Hmmm, I was at Chaparral the other day and they had a Chad Reed shirt there for sale. Also had a Red Bull James Stewart sweat shirt. Mike Alessi has had shirts in the past. Blair brothers used to sell some shirts.

No, he can't sell them at the races, but he should be ok to sell them on his website.
