Dont think Tom & Dan White were involved in original company, though they may have been US distributors at some stage.
White Power originated as a Dutch company. Original guys behind it was Henk Theuis and former Yamaha factory rider Gerrard Rond was involved before starting up Rond suspension, a MTB fork company that was later bought out by Magura.
There original shocks were painted white, hence the name.

Robinuk gave a little info on the name. However they stopped calling it White Power years ago due to the obvious negative connotation of that name. It has been just "WP" for quite a while now.

i have known wp suspensions for a long time......jobé was 500 world champ on a private honda using them.....
i really never payed any atention to the name in a racist point of view.....maybe cuz i'm no racist......maybe cuz i really think that a mans skin collor is just as important as the collor of his hair or his eyes..........

i had noticed that time goes by really slow in some of the heads that post here.......they are being laped all the time...!!!!!!!!!

Take a look right above the WP logo on the forks and notice the RG3 logo. KTM has been using RG3 modified WP stuff on the factories for a year or two now.
