AJ, do you sell 125 these engines by themselves? If so, what do they go for

Think there will be a market for all those 250F motors that you pull out of those frames?
Hey Paul,,
I've pulled a lot of the FI CRF250 engines the last few years with our 500AF's ,,
certainly a market- often there is a waiting list for when i pull the next bartch..

So how much does a CRF250 weight, and a CR125 from 02-07 in comparison? Kind a big projekt to change the gas tank, but I hear those EFI ones are thick like a brick, and weight like 1-2 lbs extra?

Pretty damn nice scooter by the way and åretty cool that the stupidity of others (Honda) makes others to prosper (KTM and AJ)! Smile

What I dont understand is why the hell a factory like Honda goes backwards regarding the power in a 125 and a 1995 or 1999 model year engine can be better than a 2003, it is not like they introduced somethin revolutionary at some point that needs one or two years of tunning and testing to make it better, and in a future become something much better than te original. It is going backwards for maybe some reliability in a class where power is the most important thing. And anyways newers cr125 have way to much reliability, they could give something for more power.

yes,
I would like to see all the AF bikes have a FI option soon, and think that will happen.

The aluminum frame caused problems with the engine not getting a good air flow, thus hindering power. In 2005, they went backwards with the engine (with the head squish band) in an attempt to try and get more horsepower. From 1998 - 2007, there are some mods that you can make to give the bike more air flow, which increases power.

You wouldn't happen to be talking about the HGT Fuel Injection kit on twostrokemx.com?

Mean machine, If they didn't charge sooooo much.
You know why Service Honda stuff is expensive? For the same reason divorces are expensive.

They're worth it.

This thing is SWEET!
I'm dreaming of a YZ125 engine in a new gen YZ250F chassis. Could this be done in the near future?

I already have one..... ;-)

It's the little brother to my AF500!!

(actually, it's an 05 with Showa forks...next best thing. 134cc motor built by Steve 814, and it RIPS!)

IMO I don't think a yz or RM125 would be better in 4t frame plue the suspension is the same as new four strokes!

Actually I drilled some holes in the airbox to my cr125 02', but I did some others thing to the bike at the same time so I dont really know how much the holes improved the power....

mhmm the crf250 is the reason the new cr125 sucks!

i rode an 05 crf250 and i thought it was slow...well, it had no hit at all and was very mellow. totally stock bike though.

The chassis and ergonomics on the new YZ250F is simply amazing. I love my YZ125, but the chassis is just not up to date.

I want a YZ80 in a YZ250F frame. That thing would RIP!!!! Then, I wanna put a fancy spark plug in it to give it more torque. I'd pay $35,000,000 for a bike like that.

i've seen some guy stuff a YZF 400?(or 450) engine in a YSR50
and it workled respectably well, except for a very small fuel capacity..

so pretty much anything is possible..

OMG!!!! That thing (the YSR400) must be nearly impossible to ride well. Sounds fun though.

Wasn't the 98-99 motor much slower than the previous years? I had a 95 CR125 and it was faster than my 2002 cr125. Just wondering why not go with a 97 motor? It had way more top end.

Elsinore Factory has done a 07 RMZ 450 W/ The CR 500 Conversion.
