Really Alessi?

guys, MA didnt let RV do shit..... RV pounced and disappeared before MA knew wtf was happening. RV was on a completely different level than everyone last night.

I honestly was thinking this though. MA suddenly went into ape-shit-crazy mode, and then in a flat corner, with no obstactles, runs straight off the track. At first I thought, melt down. But when he went off the track in a flat corner and following straight, what hit me is, was the hit to the head effecting him? Mild concussions can do weird things hours after they happen. It was almost like he shorted out, then fell all the way back to 6th.

Not making an excuse for him, just seemed like something was off about the whole deal. There are melt downs and blocking, but he went from decent to wildman that couldnt even stay on the track in about 30 seconds, and then completely went backwards.

I agree I think RV will have something for Stew next year even with him on a Suzuki
huh? RV had JS handled last year! This wont be anything new this year. JS is no longer JS. Age caught up with JS, just like it did to Hannah, RJ, Stanton, Bradshaw, MC, anyone. We cant stay 20 and ballz to the wall forever. Its a normal, natural part of this crazy thing called life.

Mike's is just gonna get worse. The amount of frustration he will go through next year will be too much to handle. That coupled with Tony giving him shit will just ruin him. I predict he will get an offer for the GPs that he will take after next year. I know he doesnt want to go over there, but he will have no choice to pay the bills. That wont work out either and then he will come back here for a few shots on some privateer teams before fading away. Tony will also have to get a real job again.

I hope down the road the Alessi's have some kind of happy ending to their motocross jaunt. So far its seems pretty tragic in many ways. What's next for Mike once he hits 30 if he never grabs the title 'he was destined' for?

You know it's interesting what Tony Alessi said to me at Washougal. It proves that sometimes things you hear are true. He said that Dungey was asking for somewhere around $2 million per year, and that if he got it there would be no room for another 450 rider on the team. It seems he was correct. Apparently that has made for some hard feeling among some. I wonder how Andrew Short feels about it?

I don't think so man. Mike had a few years on the Suzuki's and looked pretty good a couple years ago. RD had been on that KTM for a total of 8 days. RD isn't even close to what he was on his Suzuki yet , but I'm sure RD will get it figured out. MA has never been a front runner in SX , but he does get some great starts. As of right now......he IS NOT any where near the top 5 - 7 guys. And even though I like mike ( last night he acted like an idiot ).......he will be in the 8th - 12th place spot most of this next coming season. Out doors....I see him doing quite a bit better , but still no podium threat.

I guess the contract for RD was 5 million for 2 years....2.5 mil per year. As far as Short , I think he will be happy as a clam being back on a factory supported Honda. My $.02 anyways........

Mike showed more emotion and more racing mojo than anyone else on that track last night (aside from the RV check-out mojo, that is) - privateer style at that.

So he pointed at Dungey after he passed him - big fuggin deal. Who the heck can blame him for being pumped about that?

Well, I guess haters will hate and blame no matter what - but MA was the life of this party.

There's a reason he has no sponsors and no ride..He isn't a top 5 guy and never will be.

So there should only be 5 guys with sponsors & rides?

Interesting concept...

He was probably pointing at Dungey for cutting over on him off the face of the tunnel jump. Looked to me like Dungey was trying to wreck him.

If MA would ride the whole race like he does the first corner, he might do alright. Seems like he worries about whats around him too much and doesn't ride his own race. Stop thinking far too much about everything and ride the bike.

So Dungey was supposed to ask for less so KTM can pay Alessi? Is that really the world they live in?

Seems to me KTM knew what it wanted to do in both directions and I have a hard time believing RD was wanting to reup for another year of the whole package at any price.

Even if that's true, it still makes Alessi look bad. One pass does not give anybody enough credibility or what have you to start pointing at people in the air. Especially so early in the race. Especially when you had to make contact to execute the pass. If you can blow by a dude without contact and pull away, then you've got a reason to start pointing fingers. I honestly feel bad for Mike. He's a case study for sure.

I don't think DeCoster was going to hire Alessi even if it was in the budget. DeCoster inherited Alessi this time around when he came on board at KTM. But Roger is a smart man and as the saying goes, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. DeCoster already had some experience with Alessi at Suzuki so...

BTW: in case you haven't noticed, vital is all about making something out of nothing.

Probably. That's RD's MO. If Alessi wants to gloat, he should try after the finish line. Reminds me of a touch down end zone dance from the losing team.

I loved watching Partridge stuff him and pull away.

Clearly you missed the point.... A guy like Alessi is toxic to any sponsor right now...Try and taunt a top guy in a sport like football or hockey when you aren't a top guy yourself and let me know how long you last. For sponsors, image is everything....good luck attracting any when you pull a move that makes he general fan base turn against you.

Bullshit, it's not girls soccer, it's war out there. I used to flip folks off in the air and cuss them every chance I got when I raced. Even though I have much respect for Dungey, I thought it was awesome, go Mike800. Kill switch? Hell ya what ever it takes, i would have ripped his spark plug wire off if I had to.
