Yeah, I always thought if two people have the same number, the one who was better got to keep it and call it theirs. Jason made the 338 known.

You're obviously forgetting about the irresponsible douchebag clause, that let's the number revert back to the guy with the most respectable image.

DBag or not. The name in the record books next to 338 will be Jason Lawrences not Osbournes.

Osbourne is the real 338 because he has always run that number, even in amateurs. J-Law didn't always run it.

Zach used 338 as an amateur but he ran #168 when he turned pro. Was 338 taken by Lawrence at that time so he could not use it? I can't recall the year they both turned pro at the moment.

I associate 338 with Lawrence, like it or not thats the way most people view it in this sport. The kid has/had the ability and could have done some serious damage, but let other things get in the way. Would be neat to actually see him race in the pros again, but I wouldnt count on it.

Who cares who the real 338 is? That is one of the best looking bikes I have seen in a while, I could care less what number is on it.

I think JLaw had taken it...his number used to be #38 before that in the ams.
After JLaw won his LL's125 A Pro Sport title in 2005...he started racing the Nationals,I believe.
I think Zach didn't start racing AMA Pro til 2006...in SX.
