No way! Not even ama roadracing guys make as much as the motocross guys and it's a way more expensive sport. From what i've read it's around 100 to 150k a year for the guys who are winning races for atv.
Wow, that's a huge difference. Is that counting endorsements too? Or just base salaries from their teams?

Out of interest how much slower/faster are quads compared to bikes on a track like this? Seemed to me he was entering, traveling and exiting corners faster than a bike would be able to do..

The top pro quad riders can make around 300-500k a year with bonuses and salary.

Not gonna get into the subject to well because people get touchy but quads can run very similar times to bikes depending on conditions. if its wet, loamy and the bikes can get ruts dialed then they are very fast. if its dry, more hard pack they favor quads.

At redbud last year Wienen ran a 2 second fast lap time then dungey did running the same track a few weeks after the bikes ran. Again im not bashing bikes at all, different conditions favor different machines!

Was there a track in the video - cuz all I saw was some hillbilly redneck riding around in circles blowing berms out.

Very cool track. Whoever guestimated at a $25K cost, was way low I would imagine. Glad the guy is getting better, because he is damn fast. Respect.

Actually the cost of the track was not bad. Chad him self is very good on equipment and had rented all the equipment and helped randy. Randy took care of him good. Its just so perfect looking at them tracks when they finish them, they are like art.

it's definitly a work of art. I am assuming they didn't have to bring in dirt, so that probably helps with the cost as well if there is some natural terrain to work with. I was just thinking in terms of completely flat ground. $25K, imo, would be a smoking deal for a track of that caliber.

If a person has the land and the dirt and takes the time to research jump angles ,distances, then stakes it out. You can get by pretty reasonably by just hiring a good efficient operator. Pays to also consider drainage and upkeep, cause weeds love ta grow!!!

I am getting all misty eyes with the respect given to us members of the quad family !!!

I compressed ONE vertebrate in my back and I couldn't do shit for months. That is nothing compared to what Chad experienced, to see him riding again after all that is awesome. The championship was his to lose too. Its crazy that John Natalie won the championship thanks to racing a WEEK after having his broken arm plated !!!

Chad is also a wicked cool guy and helps head a training program for those of you who interested. find that info here http://www.topofpodium.com/home.html

There's something retarded about riding a quad, the fact that it looks 2 feet high, looking like riding a rediculously powered minibike with 4 wheels.

But that track is a work of art.

That track is amazing. Looks like alot of fun for those who can handle it.
He rides those quads 100x better than I can in MX vs ATV.
But I bet I could take him in ATV offroad furry.
