Here's a few. What you huys got?

1. New riding gear
2. The smell of race gas
3. Blowing up a berm, and seeing the shadow of your roost in front of you. (this happened a couple times to me yesterday)

I had the helmet, but no liner or cheek pads. Load up and drive the hour back home and just watch Football the rest of the day.

Racing bar to bar with your homeboy. Swap the lead half a dozen times in a moto. Race each other with total trust and willing to hang it out. Not for the win. Because he's your homeboy. Big smiles and a handshake at the end of each half hour moto. Me almost throwing up from the exertion, because I don't race anymore, let alone ride half hour motos. We use to do that every weekend years ago, but I'm 49 and he's 51 now. Time marches on and life gets in the way. Oh, he rides a 12 Kaw 450 and I was on a 93 CR250. Technology means nothing somedays. In our own little world he went 1-2 and I went 1-2. I fell off 1st moto avoiding his roost and smacked a pylon, never caught up to him again. No fuckin' way he was beating me that 2nd moto. Lol. A private club race of 30 guys and all eyes on us, so I'm told , and everyone cheering 2 old farts re-living past glory.

1-Hitting a big rut in a corner perfectly.

Riding the first lap of practice at Millville after it was just groomed, on a cool and perfect morning, on amateur day at the pro national.
Uncrating a new bike and putting it together.
When you can ride without thinking, and then after you're done, you think, "wooaa, that was unreal"
Pulling a holeshot and leading an entire moto.
Road trip with your moto buddies and all you do is talk about bikes, racing, and general moto while leaving the rest of your life and responsibilities at the doorstep for a week end.
Racing with someone bar to bar for an entire moto.
The feeling after a great day of racing on a beautiful summer day-with a cold beer in your hand shooting the shit with the boys.

Passing guys on brand new 450's, on a 125

That feeling when you hit a huge jump, where you are barely holding on, but feel in complete control, and perfectly balanced

Perfect loam after about a 1/2hr of practice when the ruts start to form.
perfect 60 degree day where the track stays moist....and never needs watering.
hitting big timing sections so perfect your suspension doesn't apply.
Railing a rut just "perfect" ( which doesn't happen very often )
The feel of a brand new set of meats on your bike.....where it feels like you are riding on velcro ( almost feels like you're cheating)
rubbing elbows with your buddies , hooting and hollering.....both having a huge smile on our faces.
The muscles twitching at the end of day , letting you know " ya , I'm gonna be sore tomorrow".


At the end of the day , kicking back with your buddies , drinking beers and talking MX and bringing up a lot of the old stories.

Good times.

Teaching kids to ride. I have tought at least 20 brand newbies since I have had my track. It is so cool to see the smile on a kids face when they get it.

Going on the Internet and experiencing the sense of brotherhood, comradeship and shared respect for those that love the sport of motocross. Especially the warmth shown between US fans and International fans.
Also, noting the deep respect the fans have for the champions that risk their lives to provide the good racing they love so much.
