After watching the replay he most certainly cut the track.

The first time was blatant, through the banners and way inside all the bales. If he would have let up to stay on the track then Dungey would have passed him, so he held it wide open cut the track to try and stay ahead of him.

The second one was blatant as well, at least make some attempt to make it fair when you re enter.

Yeah with all the talk of cutting track earlier this year, if he isn't penalized for cutting the track not just once but twice I will be surprised.

Barcia rides for Honda, one of the defacto owners of the series. No chance in hell he's gets any meaningful penalty. 10 to 1 all that happens is Davey gives him a "stern talking to".

I will remember that next time I race, If a guy has a 10 bike length lead on me I can cut the track to make up time on him as long as I don't pass him.

Oh and if I fall its okay to cut as much track as possible to try and catch up as long as I don't pass the guy in front of me. I can also almost hit people standing off to the side of track as I cut the track. Makes total sense.

If Barcia gets up and falls again in the corner he cut then Reed isn't so far behind him now is he..... It does make a difference, that why we have rules against cutting the track, no matter how much he was cutting......HE WAS CUTTING.

1) He cut 50 feet of the track, up til that point he had a what? 30 second lead or something long like that over 4th? He also didn't gain any positions, STFU.

2) Barcia is an "American hero" up til the point where he crashes, then he's labeled an idiot. A few of you guys act like drama queens.

Really STFU, Is that really needed.

It doesn't matter how large of a lead he had on 4th, Barcia made up time on Dungey by cutting the track after the crash. Lets say Dungey gets tangled up in a lapper before the finish and look who is right there to take advantage because he CUT the corner out......Barcia.....

The RD fans are pissed because Barcia did not move over for him. Furthermore, Barcia had RD covered until the last lap of Moto 2. Was Barcia mentally tired or physically fatigue? Who knows.

Had Barcia hit that jump with same intensity I do not think neither rider goes down. In fact, Barcia would be in second.

Quit fucking crying.

Great job Barcia, RD and RV.

RV and RD better watch out for Barcia at Southwick.

Barcia and the 450 is a good mix.

Watching that, Barcia did a great job turning right before he landed to avoid Dungey. If he wasn't such an incredible rider (ex: if he was a new rider to the sport) he would have tightened up and rode straight into Dungey taking them both out, instead he turned in the air and did a great job landed sideways next to Dungey rather than 45 degrees and into the side of Dungey.

Racing deal that's all. Now if it had been Stewart it would have been all his fault...whether he was in Barcia or Dungey's position.
Yep, that's what I was thinking. This thread would have been twice as long by now as well.

450s have so much power that they're hard to turn going up a face of the jump and he was committed to hold his position and still make the jump. The torque shifted him wide off the jump and it just so happened that Dungey was there.
Moronic. Both of you.

He was coming across, he made a mistake. He knew Dungey was on the ouside line on his ass, because he turned around & looked prior to the jump. You don't do that shit over jumps. He needed to back it off a bit, come correct, probably get passed. Then, put up a charge & pass again.

He did make a good recovery & could have been much worse. The kid is fast.

His arrogance on the podium was insulting & embarrasing.

His comments on the podium were worse than what happened on the track. He better realize Karma's a REAL bitch.
huh? haven't watched the broadcast yet but when he spoke to the crowd he said that a lapper kind of jammed his line up and that they touched and that it was no one's fault.

i guess he ran off the track at some point and when questioned about that he said he "got squirrely"

it'd be weird if he spoke smoother about it post race @ the track than on nbc.

I was standing right beside the face of the jump and Barcia took his usual line over the jump but Dungey went way over to the left for the first time in the whole moto. Barcia probably didn't expect him to be on his left coming over the jump. So I think it's BS to lay all the blame on the kid. I bet RD is worried that Barcia is going to give him trouble for the rest of the series. From where I was it looked like an aggressive and last ditch move by Dungey to get by him.

10-4 thanks for the first hand observation. I happen to agree. I think a lot of people are trying to blame Barcia for RD not winning today. The kid rode his ass off.

Interesting perspective.

In Moto 1 when Dungey went to pass JB he cut across the track from left to right seemingly to try and take his line away, seemed a bit desperate which I thought was strange at the time. JMO

You have to wonder if some of these guys have ever raced. I've had stuff like that happen to me and I've done it to other guys, it's just the way it goes. The track is 30 feet wide and every now and then two bikes use the same real estate at the same time.
This.

I too have had it done to me accidentally, and accidentally done it to others. Its racing, sometimes shit happens

The contact was a simple racing incident. The track cutting, both of them, should get Barcia docked a position.

We need a fanboy stamp to put on you guys. Dungey goes 2-2 after being the dominate rider in the previous two rounds, and now he is afraid of Barcia? It was clearly a racing incident and when Dungey sees the video he will know that. Can't really blame him for getting upset with a rider who has history of bouncing into people left and right.

Funny post. YOU sound like the fanboy here, I'm just relaying what I saw standing there. If you'd been there (and maybe you were), you'd have seen how clean and hard both guys raced both motos. They both closed up on RV toward to end of moto 2.
