Hey I have only raced a couple of times so far and every time they only give a trophy to the top 33%. Why don't they at least print out a certificate for everyone in the race that just has the place maybe even a name like a high school diploma?

Cause it would have been cool to have something to remember my first race by.

I guess the 20 cents for the paper isn't worth their time.

any1 been to a race that has done this?

Dude, take a camera to your first race and document it yourself....your goal is now to be in the top 33%.....train and prepare yourself, you can make it!

Welcome Shaun. Not too many Seth Efrikans here. It'd be nice to see the AMA MX titles go to the southern hemisphere this year with Tyla picking up the 250 title and Chad bringing home the 450 crown.

Good luck in the World Cup; we're looking forward to playing the "real" Springboks.

This isn’t grade school where everyone is a winner so we dont bruise a kids ego!!!!!

This is motocross... harden the EFF up and push harder to get your cheap little plastic trophy!

when did political correctness ooze into the toughest sport on the planet.... do you think CR22 thinks he deserved a trophy last week for getting back up and continuing the race? No he Hardened the EFF up and put his head down and rode... that’s why he is a bad dude and isn’t crying about not getting a plastic trophy... its racing fer christ sake... do better next time jack ass!

yep, its that 4 year choke time again for the mighty all blacks, although 21 so called injruies for the springboks on there away leg of the tri nations is a bit of a joke,

Our (The Springbok) coach is also injured..in the head.......

Ill have my steak, lamb chops and beer ready for the NZ vs Boks game...if things go tits-up for us (SA) again at leasts I would have had a good feed.

Rugby talk on a American MX website... I like it! I don't think the bokke are going to fare well against the all blacks either. I am with Canerat, will still have the braai going with a couple of brandy and coke's even though I am very far away from my mother land. GO BOKKE!!

They shouldn't give trophies to anyone outside the mini classes. For grown-ups it's just more junk to store. You race, you know where you finished, you load up and go home.

Some places around here give you the option of a tshirt and a plaque. I always take the shirt.. even if I have too many, they make good shop rags. Whats a plaque useful for?

Maybe they should start a new "no one left behind" class for you pussies, charge an extra $10 entry fee and everyone who enters gets a trophy no matter where they finish. The results will never be posted so that everyone can feel like they won.

It is not that outlandish of an idea. I know when we hit the woods, either a GNCC or an outlaw race, we get a print out. It gives all kind of cool info. Starting position, lap times, total race time and finishing position. I've saved a couple. They make good a souvenir.

these guys put on a kids field day every year. No kids leaves without prizes. You'll get a trophy, maybe some gloves, jersey and a bunch of stickers!!! Not sure what the date this year will be, but keep an eye out for it.

You can have one of mine if you really need a trophy so badly.. some tracks around me have track points instead. So next time your there depending how you do you get free admission, or half off w.e class you sign up for. Needless to say I only take a trophy of they don't have that.. or free food, or free anything else besides a 2$ plastic trophy
