I would hate to re-visit Milestone and have another absolute blast riding there!
The only difference is 2 or 3 mph faster round the whole track - and over a lap that's enough for them to disappear out of sight. When Wilson comes by it's not like he's a blur then gone. It's more like you're standing still and he's walking away from you at 3 mph. But that's all it is.
Of course, finding that extra few mph everywhere is unbelievably hard. But anyway very nice riding man, you look to have good corner speed.
It looks pretty much like a freeway with jumps to me.
I've had fun there, but the main drawback for me is the place is so flat: no elevation changes, uphills, downhills, off-cambers, etc., and every "great track" has those features. Well, that and you have to chain down your shit and lock up and set alarms before you go out to spin some laps....
Cool vid.
But on the whole, no, that track is not gnarly, but most tracks in Southern California aren't because they aren't built for the pros. The pros just have to mix it up as much as they can.
Pit Row
You look your riding good and you have some good speed. One thing I always tell my son is to not always work on trying to kill it and go faster but instead try working on not slowing down as much. If you watch the vid again you can almost see that it looks like your close to Wilsons speed but he just doesnt slow down as much as you.
I think when she passed me i'd start looking down at my bike like something was wrong with it....
I recall riding in SoCal around 03 at Elsinore I was cruising along on their GP track and Grant Langston comes flying through the longest whooped/wash section of the track weaving through about 4 or 5 of us commonfolk like we were standing still. Him and Fonseca were out there practicing this other 2-3 rythym section, a completely different level.
Cool video Clint
