you could probably keep up if you greased your linkage. Nice squeek. I hate being on the track with those guys but you look a little faster than me.

It's just a little bit everywhere.

The only difference is 2 or 3 mph faster round the whole track - and over a lap that's enough for them to disappear out of sight. When Wilson comes by it's not like he's a blur then gone. It's more like you're standing still and he's walking away from you at 3 mph. But that's all it is.

Of course, finding that extra few mph everywhere is unbelievably hard. But anyway very nice riding man, you look to have good corner speed.

ummm they ride there because it is a freeway away from their headquarters and race shop, also they ride a bunch of different tracks to help set up for different style dirt.. Pala, Glen Helen, Milestone, Comp Edge and more.. I am just sayin' that this track is a shit box. Sorry if I offended you way out in Wisconsin. Go Packers.

Plus, they like to ride crappy tracks to prep for tough conditions! The average rider may want it to be groomed like chocolate cake, but the pros want it to be gnarly and rough.

You think that track looks "gnarly and rough?" Really? Whistling
It looks pretty much like a freeway with jumps to me.
I've had fun there, but the main drawback for me is the place is so flat: no elevation changes, uphills, downhills, off-cambers, etc., and every "great track" has those features. Well, that and you have to chain down your shit and lock up and set alarms before you go out to spin some laps....

Cool vid.

You're a fast rider. And yep, those pros sure walk by everyone like they're standing still. What amazed me was not only are they fast, but once in awhile you get a rider like a Carmichael, McGrath, or Stewart, who makes everyone else look slow.

Good vid Clintmiglia411. A little quicker and you would be right there with Deano lol you're a good rider. That kid on the PW almost took you out bro! They need to make sure kids like that are not on the track with pros like Wilson and Tickle. That's scary.

I've ridden it, and it's a crappy track. It's lumpy and slippery. It is not what it seems. Most tracks on vid are not what they really are in real life.

But on the whole, no, that track is not gnarly, but most tracks in Southern California aren't because they aren't built for the pros. The pros just have to mix it up as much as they can.

If you think Milestone is that bad you're spoilt for choice ;-) Google Flackwell Heath MX track for my local spot.

You look your riding good and you have some good speed. One thing I always tell my son is to not always work on trying to kill it and go faster but instead try working on not slowing down as much. If you watch the vid again you can almost see that it looks like your close to Wilsons speed but he just doesnt slow down as much as you.

The PC gang was out at Glen Helen today and Broc, Tyla, and Blake would blow by me like 1,2,3 all within 5 seconds and I wouldn't even know what the heck just happened.

Looks like a shit track to me, but what do I know? Reminds me of the Evil Knievel video game from the 70s.

I started off watching your video thinking, "This guy's pretty good...not a slow rider". aha!! Then, Wilson comes by you and it's almost shocking how fast he disappears - in just seconds, he's completely out of view. Intense. Anyways, great to see the comparison of speed from that perspective.

It's nothing like the embarrassment that some local pros endured last weekend at local SX night race here when Jessica Paterson smoked them all.

I think when she passed me i'd start looking down at my bike like something was wrong with it....Whistling

By the way, is that your kid out on the track on his mini? At 7:35 min. into the video it looks like he missed running into you by just a hair. Were you aware of that at the time? Novices / small kids should have separate track time or even a separate track to use.

Whats with all the negative nancys out there? Milestone isnt the gnarliest track (compared to Glen Helen) but its fun and provides a good challenge. This video shows when they combine the Vet and Main tracks together to get longer lap times, they work with what they got and it is enough to draw in the pros. Agreed on the elevation changes, you can see where they have attempted to add a few "hills" to the layout (near the horse stalls) Glad to see they removed that braking mound after the vet main street of 3 double jumps, that was just lame. You always hear how video doesnt do justice, but right now Im not even touching the Main track, as clearing eveything on the vet is good enough for me...

I recall riding in SoCal around 03 at Elsinore I was cruising along on their GP track and Grant Langston comes flying through the longest whooped/wash section of the track weaving through about 4 or 5 of us commonfolk like we were standing still. Him and Fonseca were out there practicing this other 2-3 rythym section, a completely different level.

Cool video Clint

Im with you Drtrydr. That main track may not be the craziest thing out there but for those of us that ride to work on Monday its enough to keep me on the Vet track. Now if they would only take the super lip off the back table we would be good.
