Ryan Dungey, trying to defend his outdoor title.
Chad Reed, trying to win the outdoor title that he wasn't able to defend last year.
Ryan Villopoto, trying to win the outdoor title in his first full season outdoors.

I'd like to see Ryan Dungey win it.

I've got some insider info, I wish I could tell you but you know. I can give you a hint the 2012 champion will have a first name with 4 letters and an A in the 3rd position. Oh yeah, and when he signs an autograph he writes a capitol R. Wish I could tell you more but I don't want to get my source in trouble. nope, i just hate it when he wins and his fans post on this board....another thing is i still remember everybody saying hes going to be the next goat, just like rc blah blah blah...plus he had the worst temper tantrum ever lauching his bike into somebody's face...i just dont like the guy or have respect for him.

Chad Reed because nearly everyone said the 2 Ryans were going to run away with this championship and that Chad couldn't ride outdoors and that year he won he had no competition well guess what someone forgot to tell Chad Reed that. He has a 16 point lead on the BADEST ASS guy on a dirt bike in most people's eyes (RV) not bad for an old guy that is a SX specialist. In my eyes this guy deserves it and has earnt it. Time will only tell.
