nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Man have they lost their minds. I just heard this on Matthes' pod cast. I think those guys do one hell of a good job during those broadcast… I still have 07’s saved on Tivo. Bunch of idiots there at Speed.

That really sucks!!!

However, maybe they picked up some international little league baseball to replace it.

Not sure who is at fault but it will be sorely missed. Best motocross coverage ever.

unless I'm wrong, in previous seasons Speed hasn't broadcast the races til later in the year anyway - did they say they weren't going to cover the races at all this year?

Maybe the Canadians didn't want to/couldn't/wouldn't pay to put it on any more.

Dave's right, MX pays to be on TV. It's not like Speed or anyone else is paying for that content and then deciding it's not worth it.

OLN is now Versus, the GNCCs and ATV Motocross Races are broadcasted on there. The production company has to pay for the air time, but then sells sponsorships to pay for the air time.

Canadian MX will be broadcast on TV from what I understand. It will be on the sportsnet channels which I believe are Canada only.

I guess speed channel has dropped the rebroadcasting of them in the US.

Considering their relationship with DMG it's not surprising to see them drop a competing series from the lineup. Let's hope they don't pull the same shit with MotoGP or WSB.

If they don't broadcast them any more lets hope they learned something from them.

From what I've read the Canadian Nats were filmed by 3 guys running around the track like spectators thus the elevation changes, ruts, berm shots, etc all came out looking like you were there. Speed prefers blocking prime spectator areas with scissor lifts and filming everything from above and from a distance which loses all track perspective. The worst is the helicopter footage. Ok maybe the comentary is worse.

Lets all drop Speed a little feedback regarding this via speedtv.com

Roost is correct. We get them on Sportsnet which is from what I can tell, Canadian only. It still sucks that Speed is no longer carrying them.

FWIW to you guys in the States, the channel is called Roger's Sportsnet and they have 4 of them across Canada, one for each region. The only way to get it would be off a satellite dish pointed at a Canadian content broadcast satellite. Maybe that's not impossible to figure out for a techie guy. BTW, the 08 series will start broadcasting in July, so you've got some time to figure out how to do it!

I couldn't tell you. You might have some luck checking with some of the network providers in your area. I have never seen any DVD's available but for sure that would be a great idea.

I've seen CanNats on OLN/Vs recently.

I usually catch them by accident, if they happen to be on the guide when I'm looking at it.

They all seemed to be re-broadcasts of last years season, though.
