Think about it. The exposure that honda gets from having Windham there. I bet his line is longer than Grants and Canards combined. Plus, Windham is still a front runner.

Honda must be having mixed feelings about this year.

Their two contracted riders both crashed out of contention for both series, yet two guys are running their bikes up front for little more than the cost of the bikes.

Nice Windham's doing the whole series. Win-win for us and the sport of MX.

Well Windham must being paying to race the Nationals out of his own pocket because there is no way a guy like KW could get a deal this fast when the "Fastest man on the planet" can't even get a ride for the nationals.

He has a ride. It's his team. He CHOSE not to race. Good thing if you ask me. He might have had a reality check had he lined up on the gate. He's come a long way since going 24-0 with Alessi being his only real threat. Ha!

As for the topic itself it just shows that SX contracts ain't what they used to be. There's just to much seat time and exposure during a riders +1 hour on the track (and on T.V.). Give a vet some love and he will show it right back.

Occasionally you see people flunk out on their very first post.

Oh look...there's one now.

Considering he got a reality check during the SX season , maybe your right that it is best that he is not racing the nationals.

Is this the reality check you're talking about? Here's the breakdown of wins this season.

Ryan Villopoto 6
James Stewart 5
Trey Canard 3
Chad Reed 2
Ryan Dungey 1

Since this thread already went different direction than originally intended here is my take on it. All his contracts were made before he became a team owner. Existing sponsors were not willing to give away any additional money, yet they were not willing to share their athlete with a new sponsor, so there you have it- another summer of wakeboarding. You can blame Brooks for those contracts. On a other hand, if he doesn`t race next year I`ll assume he has given up on Nationals and that would be real shame.

Yep thats the one. You know the fastest man on the planet got beat. Its not how many he won its how many he crashed out of. It was so much of a reality check that he ducked out of running any of the nationals. Just think if he got spanked at SX how bad would it have been out doors. The torch has been passed. And by the way Windham is the MAN !!!

BULLSHIT !!! If stewart wanted to ride he could have found the money and if not, then SX and MX is going down the shitter fast.

Awesome news. Good to see Windham still enjoying the sport at the highest level.

It's just further proof that the 4 stroke is prolonging careers. And keeping riders in the sport longer.

See the case studies in the moto library.

Loretta Lynns vet classes in 4 stroke era vs. 2 stroke (which all the old timers claim to love)

K Dub.....a case study. an example of faster tracks but rougher tracks but usable power and suspension advances with a skilled but also more controlled style equals the kids can't take him down yet.

They can't get NYK or JTdollars or now even Reed. Ryno can still hang.

GOAT could go top 5 o/a at the 'wick if he started to train today.

I would not be surprised to see Motoconcepts Kawasaki and JGR Suzuki

I doubt they will go Honda or KTM...if indeed they do move from Yamaha

Be interesting to see this 'brooks' team and what team MC is involved with ...if its true
