Honey Lake is one of my favorite tracks I have ever ridden. Andy, Fernley would be sik. I grew up racing there. That track can get haggard.

mattii, watch the video i posted and go to that baja mx site.

i've been to almost every track and baja has everything. lodging, awesome elevation changes, 3 different types of dirt, airport, ways in and out and the place is just badass.

@Highsider it isn't about the best track it is about where you would organizing a National or a USGP... I would take Washougal or maybe Southwick.

Oke then I need to go back to the site and look better ... I looked fast, fast because I need to study ...

Baja Acres has my vote. Incredible track, great people running it... they are probably the most competent promoters when it comes to flagging and safety, and they host some of the most family and rider-focused events of any venue I've ever been to (be it a local race, am nat, or pro national). They also partner with a ski resort called the Otsego Club for this event:

If you're looking for great venue infrastructure (i.e. lodging, restaurants, shopping, etc.), and elevation changes (one of the largest elevation changes in Michigan), then the Otsego Club and Resort isn't a bad place either...

It's basically a motocross track with a few "woodsie" obstacles in it. They way they designed it was with a nod to old-school moto by having a long flowing track and modest jumps (as well as the hand-to-helmet start). It's in its third year running this October and people love the event... they doubled their rider entries from the 1st to 2nd year. Based on people's reactions to their first two years hosting the "Great Lakes Grand Prix", I'm sure it will continue to grow in that fashion.

Unadilla.
Agree with law131, though I would clarify that Unadilla was the best track anywhere from it's inception in the early 70's through about '94 It is still one of the best and I still love going there but it is not the same. Way to graded (even with all the rocks) and I can't stand the man made stuff , ie the SkyShot or new section after the apple tree turn. Mr. Robinson, (or MXSports) please stop smoothing out the ruts and turns after practice and between motos. Other than the start straight (remind me again why the dip was filled in) and the idiotic jump faces. And for the love of god, replant the hay and don't touch anything until practice next year! Thank you.

BTW Honey Lake looks awesome. Of course old school factory rider Larry Wosick runs it!

Highland Hills in Hillsboro, Ohio home of the famous Charles Morey photo of the Jammer attempting to stuff Tony D.

Don't let the fact the track has been closed for 30 years influence your opinion. I know a guy who knows a guy that owns the property and I've let him know if I ever hit the Mega Millions I'm buying the place.

Baja Acres - right half of the track is couple hundred feet higher than the left side of the track...kinda right down the middle....so track goes up and down constantly. this pic was taken a few years ago...its ever changing.

couple pic's to help show elevation changes and beautiful dirt.

Not only are you a BAJA fan but your avatar has the fastest rider I've ever seen spin a lap around there, remember how fast Brian was there when he was the worlds fastest 80cc rider, mind blowing corner speed.
Does the Swinkster still ride there ever ?

I'll have to say Unadilla was it, in it's heyday, but that was a long time ago, and I'll have to agree about my distaste for the changes that have been made. But if I want to complain, I should have picked up where Inside Motocross left off then I could be callin the shots, instead of doin' what I do now (right Davey Wink ). I was there for that race when Lackey was riding that scooter. What year was that? 1980. And it's a 250 with a disc brake. Trans-USA . First time I'd seen a disc brake on a dirt bike since Preston Petty had one on a Maico at Hopetown in about 1972 or so? That's where I took this pic, if I remember correctly.

Good call, that was 1980. It was always great to head up to Unadilla in the Fall.

One of my other favorites has been Namur, but I have only seen the pictures like this one. (not a good image size) Looks amazing though.
