His bosses wanted him to come to California to test, he went to Florida. He was unhappy with his setup and they wanted him in California to WORK on it. Shit, that pesky word....WORK. They couldn't even get a hold of him. I think he is allergic to work, much like many with all that talent are. The true champions are those that have to work at it because they get that satisfaction when it all pays off. The uber-talented just go out and do it without any effort and can't fix it when it doesn't come together. Witness what happened with RV after rounds 1 and 2. That is shit a jet-ski session isn't going to fix. RC didn't just put his nose to the grindstone, I think he used the damn thing as a heavy bag.
Bradshaw RETIRED. He didn't just start avoiding Yamaha's phone calls. He was burnt out. I can get that. He TOLD everyone in the industry what was up. He didn't burn anyone in the process. Not exactly what happened here. While we may not know what happened, it is pretty obvious that Pourcel is at fault. Anyone think of another reason to just go into hiding as the other side of the story is being told all over the place....and without much reference to negativity?

Douche bag, or simply douche, is considered to be a pejorative term. The slang usage of the term originated in the 1960s.
The term usually refers to a person, usually male, with a variety of negative qualities, specifically arrogance and engaging in obnoxious and/or irritating actions, most often without malicious intent.
Unless you know the terms of the contract, you really don't know anything.
Maybe it had things like "dude we'll ship you a bike to Florida and you can do your own thing on your own, since that's the way you like to work"
Then later, "hey we changed our mind, we are keeping the test bike in Cali, get your ass over here. And we are not sending you a practice bike unless you do this and that"
If you could read the Lebig interview in your native language instead of the automatic translation, it is pretty obvious that he lost faith in the team ability to help him set up the bike. He was counting on them to help with directions since they knew the bike. They worked on it for 4 weeks and didn't get anywhere he liked. At this point it is like why would 2 more weeks make any difference?
For me it makes totally sense why he was frustrated with the team. I read that interview in French yesterday and felt this is his side and it's adequate in many ways. Sure he was a bit naive and aimed for the $ and thought they were up to PC standards? No need for major testing. Just send over a bike to Florida and we are ready to go. Motoconcepts probably felt, that they just needed a few weeks worse case scenario to create a top bike which was also a bit naive since the original deal was CP trains in Florida, DV said so on the Pulpmx show. CP went over to Ca, stayed at a friends house and played ball for 4 weeks.
Add some lost in translation between him and the team (despite DV, or maybe because of him) might have gone a bit wrong or use you imagination where he ask for a bike and the teams says no while they say it's time for him to come over some more or whatever. They both get pissed and start play the victim in interviews and on forums.
Both parties failed, and are in some sort of denial. Still 95% of the forums members choose to support Motoconcepts despite being clueless of what really happened.
I hope to see CP ride before the end of this year. I don't care where. That's really the only important thing in the end because he's such a talent, and Motoconcepts will manage fine without him.
Pit Row
Personally although all this years goings on with CP don't seem too good,I'd reserve judgement until more of all this unfolds. It'd be a travesty for the sport to lose a talent like that
so if it was all on cp and he is like most here think to know, i ask why isn't there a yam on the podiums in ama mx for a while ?
why does james keeps having troubles with set up in sx and couldn't even finish a race in mx since there is no more factory then him in yam ?
why is tommy not even close to what he has done on the kxf and the rmz before ?
why did cp liked the valli bike and doesn't the motoconcepts ?
why does this mid season contract brakings keep happening in the motoconcepts team ?
of course it has to be all pourcels fault, still i don't think i will even see any awnser by does same insiders that know all about this.........
Motoconcepts will survive, we all know it, but right now instead of hating on CP we should hope for his comeback if we are true supporters of the sport. Personally I feel like I'm being kicked in nuts every weekends he's not racing, while seeing other riders with half his talent line up. Even yours truly have been racing more than him this year which is pretty crazy (still my skills are sick)!
Again he's a rider, not our mental mentor or a ruler of a country that has takes us to war. Please people, stay sober. Use adequate amount of negativity while judging him.
